Guest guest Posted November 14, 2007 Report Share Posted November 14, 2007 Hi, I haven't posted for a couple of years - so here's a quick update of what's been going on. Diagnosed in 2003. Celebrex constantly + MTX 17.5mg until Nov 2006. Became completely fed up with side effects of MTX so stopped. I felt that I had forgotten what it was to be 'Me' without meds etc. After a few months of taking nothing but Celebrex, started taking Sulfasulfazene (went up to 6 per day). Had terrible side effects - massive pain increase, breathing probs, bad liver readings etc plus ++++pain (extreme). Stopped taking Sulfa (pain decreased significantly)!! and am now on Predisolene and no Celebrex, awaiting Humira (big delay in funding, should come through around Christmas time). I was on Celebrex for 4 years constantly, with no side effects (I thought). Since stopping, I'm peeing A LOT! It must have been making me retain water...! So despite taking low dose steroids, I seem to be losing weight........ Has anyone else experienced this when stopping Celebrex....? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
