Guest guest
I found this list when trying to find info on long-term use of medications. I have had PA for about 2 1/2 years now; it wasn't until recently that I received the official diagnosis. I can't get in to see a rheumatologist for at least three months, so my regular doctor is managing my meds in the interim. He's really great - listens, follows up with things, and isn't afraid to research something that he's unfamiliar with. I just started on MTX this past week and will probably be starting Enbrel shortly; my current flare is really bad and it's impacting my ability to work and take care of my kids. My question is really about the " mental fog " that seems to go along with autoimmune disease. Do treatments like MTX or Enbrel help with that, or do they only help the joint problems? Some days it feels like my IQ has dropped 30 points and my boss looks at me funny because I ask stupid questions. I've found ways around a lot of the physical limitations, but I can't find a gaget for my brain! Thanks, Opal
