Guest guest
Thanks everyone for their posts on this... I have had SEVERE foot pain on and off since I was first dx 25 yrs ago (age 10). NO ONE ever suggested plantar fasciitis until my new PT, straight out of grad school, suggested it last week. Very good timing with our discussion here, along with shoes & exercises. I'm finding it VERY annoying that my foot pain was dismissed as " arthritis pain, can't do anything specific about it except stay skinny & elevate the feet! " . <sigh>. I've been doing PT now and most of the stretches for my lower back / hips / calves all work together with my feet, and I'm feeling relief already. I also feel sort of stupid for assuming nothing could be done, since I'm usually very proactive about my care. However, how am I supposed to know this thing (plantar fasciitis) existed?! Anyway, thanks for listening, -Marietta
