Guest guest
I know I'm on a jag here. But I feel that it's important for us to realize where some doctor's(possibly paid by insurance companies) misinformation might lead us. This is a growing trend in medicine today. We all need to be careful of where this trend is leading. Will it lead to inadequate care because insurance companies will pick up on this misinformation and determine we all need to cure ourselves by: living rightly? Sociologist Arthur W. writes, " Today the healthy want to believe that disease does not 'just happen.' They want to believe that they control their health and that they have earned it. Those who have cancer must have done something wrong, which the healthy can then avoid. The sick person must have participated in sickness by choosing to have a cancer personality. Otherwise illness is an intolerable reminder of how risky life is. " just replace the word cancer for your disease of choice.
