Guest guest Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Hi Glenn, I am so happy to hear that the Remicade is working for you. I am going to see my rheumatologist again in a couple of weeks to probably begin a course of treatment with Remicade. I offer empathy for your brother. If Remicade works not for your brother, has he tried Enbrel or Humira? Enbrel seemed to haelp me a great deal for a short while, but it argued and fought with my nervous system. It seems to help aout 50% of the people - who knows, maybe your brother is one of those. I have also heard good things about Humira, but it has not yet been used as much Enbrel and Remicade. RE: Relafen: I took it for 3-4 years, until my stomach said enough is enough. It really did very little for me except take the extreme edge off. One thing about it is that it is an old medication and it has been used a great deal. It has very few side-effects (outside of stripping the lining from one's stomach). Now, I take Celebrex 200 mg 2X/day; it is the best of these sorts of drugs(analgesic/nsaid) for me. Quote
