The " titled beyond the Barricade' provides a rich source of information covering both theory and practice. It further equip PLHIV and networks, CBO/ NGOs and health related organizations with the requisite skills and knowledge by providing practical tips for working with other partner organizations including media. The manual also shows how to effectively advocate with policy makers for bringing in the desired change. The manual contains several sections and each section has a wide variety of information, including case studies and step - by -step guides for implementing various advocacy activities. This manual is meant to be used both as a resource and as a training toolkit. The information and guidelines included can help the network to plan and organize the advocacy efforts. The manual can also be used as a guide for holding advocacy workshops within the community.
