ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: 24 months – Annually renewable

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAHARA Center for Residential Care and Rehabilitation is seeking experienced

monitoring and evaluation officers to be positioned in Delhi, India. This

position requires strong computer skills and substantial knowledge of HIV,

Injecting Drug Users (IDUs) and related development issues. The M & E Officer will

be responsible for the organization and oversight of key operational aspects of

the study with Injecting Drug Users (IDUs) using a Peer-Driven Approach to

Providing IDUs with HIV Prevention Services in Delhi, India.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Planning and taking lead role in monitoring and evaluation of the project

2. Keeping track of the program data base and documentation

3. Input, maintain and track site and study metrics in spreadsheet/database

system

4. Prepare monitoring reports periodically

5. Work as team member of the project

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Graduate or higher with social science, social work or related field with

relevant training and expertise.

2. Minimum of one year experience in monitoring and evaluation in public health

and HIV/AIDS desirable.

3. Familiarity with HIV interventions and interventions with IDUs desirable

4. Excellent management and coordination skills.

5. Written and oral English and Hindi-language communications skills essential.

6. Ability to work independently as well as demonstrated capacity to function as

a team member on a collaborative project
