Kerala- Providing TB treatment through Anganwadis

Dear forum,

 

Could somebody appraise me whether it is advisable for the TB patients of Kerala

to be brought to the anganwadis for DOT  administration? 

 

Doesnt it bring the Anganwadi kids to unwarrented exposure to TB?

 

Has the Kerala health authorities informed the parents of the Anganwadi kids

regarding the potential infection risks?

 

I was told by an ICDS officer that even if some infection occurs they (social

welfare dept) have no problem since it is the Govt direction!
