Bumping the question ( " ALA " = " Thioctic Acid " = " Thioctic Acid (D, L-amide) " ),

with the hope Dr. Cutler or others versed in Chemistry can answer...

Huge thanks, in advance!

Re: [ ] ALA=Thioctic Acid?

Not sure what the question was.

D, L-amide means, in English, a mix of " R-enantiomer and S-enantiomer " .

This is the standard formulation of ALA.

The formulation that is only the R-enantiomer is marketed as " R-ALA " and

is a fad.

Andy Cutler STRONGLY recommends ALA, not R-ALA.

So you have the correct medicament to chelate.
