I get told I am a liar for stating that I have Cystic Fibrosis and am getting myself well. Everyone believes that is not possible and all the experts say it is not possible. I have seriously considered taking down my health website and shutting up. It gets me attacked a lot, contrary to what some of my attackers suggest it is *not* making me gobs of money (though it does at least support it's own costs these days, something my websites didn't do for many years), and there is just a huge social downside to claiming I have accomplished something that the entire world believes to be impossible. So there is very strong motivation for people who are recovered to not admit to it. Admitting to it can directly deny you the thing you worked so hard to achieve: A " normal " life and social acceptance. If you aren't admitting to it so you can have the normal life you wanted, you may not belong to any lists like this one anymore. Guest guest
I think that if my son recovered I would drop off the lists and enjoy having a normal life for a change. Sometimes I wish this was all just a bad dream. I do appreciate the help and suggestions from the parents of the children that recovered. Maybe someday, their kids will speak about it. That is if they can remember what it was like to be autistic. > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > Keep in mind, there are undoubtedly many parents who initially joined this > > list many years ago who may have dropped off once their kids began > > improving.
