Did it look like a sandpaper rash? Was it itchy? I would consider vitamin A toxicity if it was like that. My son did not tolerate CLO without mito cocktail, so it might be that also. Dana Quote
Guest guest Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Hi Dana! The are not itchy, he has been taking CLO for long time...without Vit.E, yesterday morning I gave him a little extra of CLO and then he came back from school like that...... I do think is toxicity, maybe he couldn't tolerate the little extra [i feel terrible b/c I wanted to see if that would make a different before starting the new supplement for chelation]. Today [following my instinct i gave him only half of the old doses] ***but he woke up very happy & calmed but those dots where still there!. I gave him Probio & Acid Soothe and slept all night long!!!!!.... *What can I do to eliminate those dots [these dots looks like when you carry a heavy bag on your shoulders and leaves you a red mark with dots..] I think that would be the best way to explain them! but they are on his faces [upper part of his cheeks and under his eyes] THANKS FOR YOUR HELP & TIME!! . > > > > My son came from school with red points all over his face. > > they are not blisters or pimples....they are just points! > > I haven't change anything in his diet or supplements....but I did give him a little extra of CLO....this am. > > Any ideas? never happened before.... > > he seems a little down...like tired, didn't have a good session w/ speech therapy, was very cranky. > > > Did it look like a sandpaper rash? If he has been taking CLO for a long time, it is probably not intolerance, but it can be vitamin A toxicity. However, a toxicity rash is generally itchy, so it is probably not that. > I do think is toxicity, maybe he couldn't tolerate the little extra [i feel terrible b/c I wanted to see if that would make a different before starting the new supplement for chelation]. > Today [following my instinct i gave him only half of the old doses] > ***but he woke up very happy & calmed but those dots where still there!. Try dropping the CLO entirely, see what happens. Or it might be that photo you posted in another message. Dana Quote
Guest guest Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 Hi Dana and others.. I stopped the CLO and no more 'red dots'..... Could be a coincidence......Do you think this may happened b/c of too much sun? [bTW we live in FL] Should I give CLO later on? or Should I try different brand of Oil Fish without Vita A? > > > > Hi Dana! > > The are not itchy, he has been taking CLO for long time... > > > If he has been taking CLO for a long time, it is probably not intolerance, but it can be vitamin A toxicity. Guest guest Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 Any allergies to soy? Sounds like a food allergy type reaction maybe to the CLO? Tammy [ ] Re: red points on face Hi Dana and others.. Since he has been taking the CLO for quite a while, I would first consider vitamin A toxicity. > Could be a coincidence......Do you think this may happened b/c of too much sun? You can try a straight fish oil, altho if he has problems with soy, most of them contain soy, so that will skew your results. " Too much sun " would suggest a vitamin D deficiency. I don't know if D toxicity would result in a skin rash. I do know that A toxicity usually results in a skin rash. D toxicity here resulted in a massive headache. Dana Quote

Guest guest Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 My nt son has severe food allergies, soy, peanuts being the worst. So I don't even to any omega 3's on him. I'm too nervous to try. We are just doing probiotics, enzymes and I have good luck with Kirkman Lab doing their hypoallergenic lines so I do their kids multi, Vit C, Vit D. We are having constipation issues here so working on getting him to drink more water and need to look for a different source of mag. Epson salt baths too. My next step would be chelation with him in hopes of getting rid of some food allergies. Or start traveling to do NEAT. Chelation, far cheaper and I'm so sick of the food allergies. It seems odd to me that it could be soy, because you said he had been taking this CLO for quite a while, and only now is having problems with it. The only soy-free CLO that I know of, is sold by Kirkman. Dana Quote
