Guest guest
Hi there: Our DAN had my son on DMG. He was on it for about 2-3 weeks. He wanted my son on 500-1000mg. He was very sensitive to it, so after ramping up to 500mg over the course of a week or so, I took it back down to 150mg after another week, and then later discontinued entirely, as he really didn't seem to be tolerating it well. But here's the rub: Now, two days after we quit, we're noticing a definite uptick in language. The problem is that we don't know if it's attributable to the DMG, since I've also been more aggressive lately in pumping those natural antifungals into him as well as rotating them (which I know Andy doesn't agree with, but it appears to better combat fungus in my son). For the past few days, he's been on high doses of OLE, which we don't traditionally do. I don't want to return to DMG if he doesn't tolerate it well (btw, also did TMG for a while - better tolerated, but ineffectual). But I also don't want to rule it out if there's a chance all this lovely new language is attributable to it as opposed to hitting him hard with OLE and other antifungals. In retrospect, I should have spaced these out a little, but hey, when a kid's yeasty, you don't wait to treat, no? All insights welcomed. cheers,

My son did not tolerate DMG, but I used TMG with good results. It required carnitine and folic acid for proper absorption, and it did tend to increase yeast. So it might be that you need to add the other supps, and/or increase the yeast protocol, before seeing the benefits while actually giving it. >>For the past few days, he's been on high doses of OLE, which we don't traditionally do. This caused language increase in my son. It is an anti-viral. > I don't want to return to DMG if he doesn't tolerate it well (btw, also did TMG for a while - better tolerated, but ineffectual). It actually *increased* yeast here, because of the viral die off. Dana
Guest guest
I am not an expert, but I would like to share my opinions with you.My son, 28 months old,gets125mg of DMG. if I give him 250 he becomes very agresive.I believe DMG really helps with the language, but we need to start very slowly.Maybe, you should start with 125 mg daily or even less than that, but don't forget to give folinic acid as well since it reduces the hyperactivity and agression.I wouldn't go any higher than 125 mg if he is not tolerating it.If you buy the liquid form, and if one teaspoon is 125 mg, you can give half of it first(60mg),and work up to 125 mg
