If your child is allergic to or sensitive to GSE, you may try Caprylic Acid (

from coconut oil) also very good for killing yeast. My son's food allergy panel

shows highly sensitive to citrus based food, our DAN switched from GSE to

caprylic acid. So far so good, I can see a much better results in cleanning up

yeast.

Possibly caused by both apple and probiotic.

Apple---high in phenol, also a great candidate that feed yeasts. You need to

either add phenol assisted enzyme ( Houston, and Kirkmam Labs both have this

type of supp), or reduce or rid of apple for a while and continue anti-fungal

protocol such as OLE and caprylic acid, and massive doesage of Biotin ( per

Dana, biotin, 20 mg per time, 3 times a week)

Probiotic-- you need check if there is strep lines in your probiotic. It there

is, you need to switch to non-strep lines probiotic-- From Klaire Labs,

Detoxification Support Probiotic, you can order from klaire directly or from New

Beginnings. This is only probiotic my DAN recommend my son to get on. My son is

a big time PANDAS kid as well.

Sounds like your child has the identical food intolerance to my son. We recently

ran IgG food panel test with immunologist, also a DAN and learn that my son is

allergic to a lot of food, included tomatoes, watermelons, grapefruit, citrus,..

those are what he likes the most. The weird thing is when he eats tomatoes,

watermelons even GSE for years, he has never shown any discomfort, or allergy

symptoms, but he will be very stimming, hyper, anxious.

Through the test, we learned that my son is not supposed to eat these fruit, We

remove them from his diet totally, also we learned why our childre can't eat

watermelon, apples, tomatoes all that great food is because mercury damage their

metablism. Also, the pancreas can't release proper enzyme to break down these

food.  So, back to the basic, keep avoiding these food from diet is not the

answer. We need to rebuild or repair the broken metablism, once the metablism is

functioning, they can tolerate anyfood they like.

Repairing metablism is also related to rid of toxic metal first, and add proper

supp such as selemiun, CO Q10, a lot of B, E, C... this is another whole chapter

that we have to catch up and learn. Avoiding food is not the final answer.

We haven't tried GSE here, but tomatoes & anything red were completely

off her list of foods for quite a while (maybe a year or so, prob a

bit more) & I do think that was/is the phenols...she started tolerated

some red foods pretty recently, but not the tomatoes or watermelons

(watermelon went off the list for quite possibly Years, badbadbad this

summer :( ...just this summer, she can easily tolerate our garden

tomatoes (yellow, favorite! & red ;) but still having issues with

" regular " store tomatoes...as a side note, am thinking tomatoes are

high melatonin, both of the worst migraine kids here used to inhale

them & any sauces, etc (pizza! :) ...as their melatonin needs were

addressed, this seemed to be less of a fight (not to eat, that is -

with my 4yo). It was the same time period - trying to find problem

foods & adding melatonin in, so could be wrong - feels like it with my

older child tho' & related...details, details, details, ug ;)

I did like Rei's summation on this, mostly a side note...we haven't

tried no-phenol, others have had good results with this & will chime

in?!. Would check archives, comes up fairly often...for us, mostly

logistics & access (my energy/ability & her motion sickness combine :(

so we do this the " hard " way - supportive foods/supps, avoiding & as

improvements happen, we try adding in more foods...and I read, read,

reread & reread again :) looking for things to do & try. wishing you

the best answers, elizabeth

If you really want to try no-phenol from Houston, or phenol assistance from

Kirkman, you may give phenol supp before snack or meal.

I have used both, but I found out another type of enzyme works better than

phenol supp. I use the enzyme complete from Kirkman, in the beginning of each

meal. I discover a month later, not only my son can eat high phenol food without

problems, he even can tolerate wheat products better. Enzyme helps our children

break down and metablize what they eat, therefore reduce food sensitivity or

intolerance.

Is Super Nu Thera a multi vitamins? Per Andy, when we are on ALA, we always have

to make sure to have enough or boost up vitamins B,C,E, Zinc, Mag....

Enough Super Nu Thera? Are you saying that you have to have enough

Aside from phenol issues, tomatoes are high in natural glutamate so if the kid

is already high

glutamate (mine are high glutamate, low glutamine) that could cause problems.

Also, tomatoes and eggplants are from the nightshade family of foods which are

somewhat

inflammatory.

The book " Biological Treatments for Autism and PDD " has several stages of

dietary

restrictions, apples are not allowed, I can't find my copy of the book to

reference the

exact reason. Yeast maybe.

massive doesage of Biotin ( per Dana, biotin, 20 mg per time, 3 times

For a while, I gave my son 20mg biotin 3x per day [not per week].

OLE is not an anti-fungal in my experience. It works on bacteria and

viruses, and viral die off tends to increase yeast, so if your child

has latent viruses, the OLE will tend to *increase* yeast.

, we had my son have the food allergy test, and it came back negative. WE

were told he was fine with all the food, even my gut told me that wheat and

diary are not good for him. Until we saw our newest DAN, I dont know if he use a

different method to diagnose or something, per his food panel test, my son is

either sensitive or allergic to A LOT of food.

Based on this new test result, it really gives us a good clue how to design our

son's food plan and he is doing much better now, calmer, speech is more clear

and focus better...

What I am saying is per Andy's book ( I am reading the second time recently),

you have to have enough supplements to support your chelation. I am not sure

about what is SNT, if you have Andy's book, you may check on the chapter-- what

to take for mercury poisining.
