Guest guest
When I am exposed to something at work, I come home and shower, irrigate my sinuses and take some supplements to combat it, like OLE and/or diet tonic water and sometimes other stuff. We wipe down my purse and other items that came home with me. We keep me physically away from others until I am clean. When I had a car, that got wiped down with peroxide (warning: this may bleach materials in the car, but I didn't care what it did to the carpeting). I rarely suffer more than 12 hours with a virus these days and often my kids don't get it at all. So, yes, it's possible. If he can't take anything orally because he's vomiting, I would suggest you start with getting him out of his clothes and wiping him down with peroxide and/or diet tonic water and washing his bedding to break the cycle of contact with stuff he has already gotten contaminated with his germs and to get as many germs off of him as you can. If he is able to tolerate something by mouth, then try one or more of the following: OLE, a large dose of vitamin A or E, diet tonic water, and/or any supplement that helps make him alkaline like calcium or magnesium. Good luck with this. Michele http://www.healthgazelle.org http://www.kidslikemine.org http://www.solanorail.org
Guest guest
Probiotics. Send in plenty of the good bugs overwhelm the bad. Guest guest
We just went through this, too. We tackled it in about 12-20 hours, with soothing the stomache with warm " tea " made by steeping freshly gound ginger (tablespoon?) in boiling water for a good 5 mintues, straining it and then adding tsp of raw honey. That stopped the vomiting for us immediately. Then we started probiotics and coconut oil. Cool compresses on forehead and neck for comfort and gentle massage on arms and legs with oil with only 1 drop each of peppermint and lavender oil. For prevention - since Moms can't get sick - cleaning solid surfaces regularly with vinegar and antiviral EO's, washing sheets everyday, and then starting increased fluids, OLE, Vit D, probiotics and plenty of rest. DH was laid up for 3 days with it - I felt quesy for about 6 hours and a bit tired - that was it. HTH and hope your little one feels better soon! > > My Kindergartener just started vomiting last night due to some kind of stomach > virus going > around his school. Guest guest
Here we do ginger tea - just the ground ginger in your cooking spice cabinet will do. I put 1/4 tsp in a cup of water and sweeten with a touch of honey or stevia. Honey is good when ill (in moderation). Also, if the vomiting gets bad, add a few dashes of sea salt to the water your child is drinking. Do not give sugary drinks like Gatorade no matter how many times you've heard it helps. The sugar is counterproductive. Water is the best thing. No solids. For yourself, take some apple cider vinegar. We put about a teaspoon in a glass of 100% juice. It is also what we do if we actually feel like we are coming down with something. My husband swears by this, and takes vinegar during the " flu season " since he is exposed at work a lot. He doesn't get sick. Also, don't overdo sugar, it is a natural immune suppressant. Lots of garlic in your foods the next couple of days won't hurt either. :-) P. lrfschr wrote: > > My Kindergartener just started vomiting last night due to some kind of > stomach > virus going > around his school. Take 2 capsules to start. Anytime the child feels queasy again, take another capsule. It literally soaks up everything, so it works great for vomitting and diarrhea. As for not getting it yourselves, Virastop, Probiotics, GSE, Colloidal Silver, Goldenseal. Hope this helps! Summer > > >
Guest guest
I know someone said not to do this, but this is what works for us. When our kids have stomach flu, water makes them throw up, so we give them pedialyte by the teaspoonful, waiting in between spoonfuls to see if they keep it down. If your kids can keep down water with a stomach flu, great, but ours can't. Good luck! maggie d. > > > > > > My Kindergartener just started vomiting last night due to some > kind > > of stomach > > > virus going > > > around his school. If I am working on viruses and bacteria, do I add these suppliments to my sons daily suppliments. Right now he get OLE and oreganal every day. Should I add virastop or something else? We are also chelating right now with DMSA. I haven't added ALA in yet because it has only been 1 month of chelating. > What are everyones thoughts? > Thanks, > Kelley > > Kelley, Virastop is made by Enzymedica. You can read about it and other viral supplements in the files section under Viral Information. Anita

It's made by Enzymedica. You could probably look it up at iherb.com or vitacost.com. Not sure though. You can add Virastop to your regime. It's ideal to take it on an empty stomach. We use DMSA as well, and have had no problems. Summer
