Yep, way too much here. I had to drop it after about 2 months, because I simply could not control the yeast. > Also, am I giving too much GSE? Guest guest
From what I can tell in the book suggested 15-20 capsules per day total. So, that would be 5 - 7 VS three times per day total. He may be having diarrhea due to too much virastop. From another Dana who is currently taking her twin boys through virastop, OLE right now. At our height we did 8 three times per day for total of 24 for the whole day and have since backed down to five three times per day. I've never given that much Candex, which is very simlar to Candidase. I preferred to use very high doses of probiotics and lower doses of the yeast killers. > > I was hoping to go up to 15 VS per dose, hold it for 3 weeks(like > suggested), and then start reducing. How high should we go with this one? It > definetely causes lot of yeast more so than VS and OLE. We went up to 3 scoops a day of the Lauricidin. All of the viral supps caused very big yeast. I found that epicor helped control the yeast. Not sure it would help during a viral protocol though. Do you give biotin? That might help. > > Also, am I giving too much GSE? Have you considered very high doses of probiotics and/or cultured foods like kombucha? I found that approach to work better for us than simply attacking the yeast. A kill and then replenish back and forth approach. Best wishes, Anita > > Thank you in advance! > > Madhuri >
Guest guest
Thank you all for responding. Dana - I'm using Biotin too, about 5mg per dose of anti-virals along with 25 drops of GSE. His diarrhea is much better, and is not happening through out the day. After an hour of anti-viral dose that he is having loose stools(which I'm assuming is good...the viruses dying). I will increase biotin and see. I just increased Lauricidin yesterday and he is driving me nuts today with his obsessive behaviors and patterns(the nasty yeast again!). I'm going to bump up his probiotics also. Dana Pope - I know suggests 20 capsules of VS per day; with every increase in VS, we saw improvements in my son, hence we are continuing, but planning to hold off at 14 VS and reduce from here. My son seems to need a higher dose of VS. Also my son is 9, the viruses were there for a longer time in his body vs doing viral for a younger child. How are your kids doing on this protocol? Have you seen any improvements? how far into chelation have you started anti- virals? Anita - yes, I had been thinking about reducing GSE and instead use a higher doses of probiotics. I'm using about 5mg biotin per dose of anti-virals. I will take a look at kombucha. What probiotics have you been using and what dosages? My son can't seem to take culterelle, I suspect the inulin in it bothers him. He gets phenolic reactions like red ears and sound sensitivity with culterelle. Currently we are using Kyodophillus(about 40 tablets each with 1.5 billion), I can't say for sure if it is 100% working for him. Besides lacto bacillus, Kyodo has bifidum too. sometimes I wonder if the bifidum is causing any issues to him. I have read that in SCD diet, bifidum is not allowed. Thanks again! Culturelle, CP1, Kirkmans Super Pro Bio, VSL3, some dirt based ones, a custom blend from custom probiotics, and a few more I'm forgetting. For quite a long time we were using 1 trillion a day. It's a long haul, that's for sure, with the yeast. Working on the immune system has helped. So has chelating long enough. Anita
