Guest guest
when doing the ALA protocol ... do you have to give all the ones that Andy lists? If so, it would be like 13 individual supplemnts, correct?

If so, it would be like 13 individual supplemnts, correct? When I started ALA, the only supplement my son tolerated was HNI enzymes. I believed he was not going to improve without chelation, so I started low dose of ALA without the supporting supps. Every 10 rounds or so, I tried to add a few back. At round 10, I was able to add a few. By round 50, I was able to add the ones he needed. It is preferable to have supps in place before chelating, but sometimes not possible. Guest guest
If I do start introducing individual vitamins instead of the Super Nu Thera. Is There a vitamin in particular that you think I should start with? I think Dr. Pangborn suggests Tuarine be in place first. So I could probably keep chelation while I am introducing these individual vitamins even if I only have a few in place at the time of chelation? Guest guest
, if your daughter tolerates the vitamins, you don't have to use them individually. Many of our kids cannot handle the multi- vitamins and complexes, if yours does, then that's great you don't have to worry about using individual ones. > > > > > > when doing the ALA protocol ... do you have to give all the ones > > that > > > Andy lists? Guest guest
I think they are helping her, but also hurting her. I think when she just gets a teeny bit of the SNT its not a problem, but I was giving 2 capsules a day. She seems to need just little bits of things. I do need to clear something up. When I am chelation her (every 3 hours) can I just give the ALA in the evening with out the supplements? and just give the supplements during the day? Guest guest
to be honest... i dont' know how if the SNT is helping. i think it may be the diflucan that made the difference with the chelation. i just don't know for sure. Guest guest
Yes, you don't have to continue supplements at night. Maybe you could split the capsules if you think she is getting too much. You can buy NOW brand capsules online, they are useful. > > > > > > > > > > when doing the ALA protocol ... do you have to give all the > > ones > > > > that > > > > > Andy lists? If you want to add more, there are certainly more that may be extremely helpful, but those are the basics. A lot of kids do not tolerate SNT even though it does benefit many others greatly. There is very little that is 'one size fits all,' do what works for your kid. There is some likelihood that the kids who don't do welll on SNT may do well on the Feingold diet if you are willing to try dietary interventions. There's nothing wrong with not trying it if it is hard to do - the most important thing is to chelate him if he responds to that. Guest guest
We have tried the FG diet and the cave man diet. My dd could not drink pure healthy water without becoming violent. Not sure if all of these other kids are like this or not. Seems like I have an unusual girl, from what I hear. She raged 24 hours a day. Man, it was bad... and sad! Omega 3 or CLO as much as is convenient. Keep the vitamin D below 1,200 IU a day. Zinc, 40-50 mg. Andy

Is There a vitamin in particular that you think I should start > with? Of the Bs, my son needed LARGE doses of B1, B6, B12, folic acid, and biotin. He did well on the B50 once I was able to include it, so he needed the other Bs also, just not as high of doses. For chelating, I would think vitamin C would be one of the important ones, because it is an antioxidant. >>I think Dr. Pangborn suggests Tuarine be in place first. Taurine helps with liver issues, so if your child's liver is weak, you can try that one. My son needed taurine as part of mito cocktail, and to address chemical sensitivity issues. ALA has liver supporting properties, so you may not need liver support. I don't have much respect for Pangborn. So I > could probably keep chelation while I am introducing these individual > vitamins even if I only have a few in place at the time of chelation? If your child is doing fine, then based on my experience, yes. Dana

B vitamins caused wild hyper and major behavior problems for my son until about round 50 of ALA chelation. At that point, they caused major calming and other benefits. Most B vitamins did tend to increase yeast. >>When I am chelation her (every 3 hours) > can I just give the ALA in the evening with out the supplements? and > just give the supplements during the day?
