Guest guest Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 My ideas may not help, but in the early 80's I nearly died from med Hg exposures, but knew not what the problem was then. I managed to recover fairly well, though, by going to a very good health store and buying LARGE amounts of B vitamins, naturally processed (this cost me my home and career right after me MS degree, and I was reduced to selling light bulbs on the street then). I would take 1-2 ounces per day in large handfulls, so much that my skin gave off a strong odor constantly. I found that the flush style niacin is helpful, but an ounce of that is way too much, the blood vessels will constrict back in the middle of the night and send you into a heart pounding frenzy. Of course, I am always nervous about offering advice that may not work for others, but sometimes we get desperate. I also took at least an ounce of Vit C per day, but the B vitamins did help a lot. I don't know how to find quality B vits anymore, but since then have used a maintenance dose of 2-8 1000mg tablets of Stress B from Puritan's Pride. If anyone knows of a better source, tell me, too. My question is related to a good friends Dad who has ALS and its getting pretty bad for him. Does anyone have experience in this group chelating for ALS? I tried last year to really push him to see someone on Long Island but his regular doc said forget it. I want to try pushing him again to see someone that might be able to help but I am thinking at this point unless he can see others improved or speak to them he will say forget it. Thanks, Quote
Guest guest Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 Have you recommended a DDI hair elements test with counting rules applied? That would be the place to start. Also, he's probably being/been pushing to get the flu shot by his regular doc.
