Guest guest
Hey Phil, This is Cal1923: I will check into the info that you sent on the Doctor's site but I would like to ask you a few questions first. You abbreviated some of your letter. I have been on the pump for 14 years. I started having trouble when I was 40 and have not had good sex until I tried the pump. Wouldn't you know it I had to have a woman doctor recommend that. My male doctors never told me about it. After getting on the pump at 68 we started have wonderful sex again for a a few years. When I was 40 doctors didn't even mention testosterone and I never was advised to have it checked. Wet noodle for many years and never satisfied my wife until the pump. Anyway after a few years I got to the point where I couldn't ejaculate. I faked it with my wife for a long time until she got wise. Now she doesn't want to try as I don't get the full pleasure. The only way that I can go is by oral sex or watching videos, which I abhore doing. This is just to give you a little background first of my problems. I too have been on testosterone for around 25 years. First the patch. Didn't do much good except to help depression and give me more energy. I am an exercise man. Home bicycle three times a week and do abs for the stomach muscles. I don't know much about the items that you mentioned in your letter. You went 10 years with very bad ED. What is ED? I know what T is. I go to the VA for all medications so I don't have a lot of money to spend on medications Phil. They are the ones that put me on the patch and finally shots of T every two weeks. They helped me out for some time until this last 3 years which are without fulfillment. Most people think I am much younger than I am because of the T and my exercise I guess. I am on a lot of medications to fill you in on that. I take colesterol medication so my lipids are not a problem as the Dr. mentioned in her letter. My doctors have never checked my Estradiol at all and haven't mentioned it, but after reading several articles I can see where they are a problem and I wonder if that is mine. Pills don't work fo me either. You mentioned you got your DR., after a big fight to test your Estradiol. I guess I should ask my Dr. at the VA if they would cover that test and also cover the Arimidex. Is that expensive or do you get help on prescription drug? That is my big problem. I am retired on a fixed income; all things go up but my salary. I checked out the links that you had in your e-mail. Just joined this group, I hope you will receive this ok. I will also print out the page that you sent me and ask my VA doctor if she can help me out there, but I doublt the VA will approve it. Do you have your wife to give you the shots of Depo? Also is the 100 IU's of HCG pills? Are they expensive? My testes are really smaller than they have ever been too and I have been concerned about that too, even my wife noticed that. Right now my libido is ok but can't finish the job. My feeling of well being was good until they said it was too high and lowered me for 6 months, now they are increasing it again. I do get a high dosage because I am dead without it. I am going to ask my doctor this week if they will check my Estradiol. I hope you are in this group so you can help me further, as I really miss sex. It is a true bond between a husband and wife I know and she really enjoys the bonding too. I sometimes wonder if the fact that she had a radical mastecomy and a large stomach now that bothers my mentally. Thanks Phil hope you get this message.
