Guest guest Report post Posted October 15, 2000 Hi Mark, welcome to the group. You have come to the right place. My name is Genny and my 27 year old daughter has AIH. I was so thankful to find this group, a lot of good information and plenty of great people to talk to. Not to many men in the group I have noticed. Have a good week and take care. Guest guest Report post Posted October 16, 2000 Hi Mark, not preaching to you but please take your meds and do what the doctors tell you. Your right those kids need you and they will even when your old and grey. Take it from me, mine are 27 and 22 and they may move out but still call on the phone wanting advice or help. It's nice being needed though. Take care of yourself because God don't make no junk. God bless, Genny/Jodi's Mom/Florida

Guest guest Report post Posted October 25, 2000 Hi Mark, glad to hear your labs are better. Try to rest when you can, I know it's hard when you have to work. Jodi has the same problem and a 2 1/2 year old son to take care of too. Take care and God bless. Genny/Jodi's Mom

Guest guest Report post Posted March 26, 2001 , She was 3 1/2 when they started and the grand mals occured during a 54 day period. During this time we worked on her chemistry to develop the plan to help gain control of the seizure activity. No cure as of yet, just control. Guest guest Report post Posted June 15, 2002 MARK: I DONT BLAME YOU. I WOULD BE TIRED OF THE CACA TOO. I WAS FIRST DIAGNOSED IN 1994 AND THERE WAS NO LIVER DAMAGE AND NO DETECTABLE VIRUS IN MY BLOOD, ONLY THE ANTI BODIES SO THEY SAID THAT TREATMENT WASNT AN OPTION. I WONDER ALL THE TIME NOW WHAT MY HEALTH WOULD BE LIKE IF THEY HAD JUST GONE AHEAD AND GIVEN ME THE INTERFERON. BUT UNLIKE NAOMI JUDD, I DIDNT HAVE A MILLION DOLLARS TO SPEND, ALL I HAD AT THE TIME WAS KAISER AND NOW I AM ON DISABILITY. MIND YOU THAT THE ONLY REASON I WAS APPROVED FOR SSI AND SSD WAS THAT MY MENTAL STATE WAS SEVERE ENOUGH FOR THEIR DOCTORS TO APPROVE ME. HEP C ALONE WONT DO IT, ITS THE DEPRESSION THAT ACCOMPANIES IT. I WONDER WITH ALL THE EXPERIMENTS WITH STEM CELL RESEARCH.......WOULD THAT BE AN OPTION? IF YOU OR ANYONE ELSE KNOWS PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I HAVE A VERY WILLING DAUGHTER AND GRANDDAUGHTER..THEY ARE TIRED OF HEARING ME SAY, I DONT FEEL GOOD. GOOD LUCK MARK. Guest guest Report post Posted June 15, 2002 Sandy, I was wondering if there was a reason you type your notes in capital letters... I don't know about anyone else, but it's hard for my eyes to adjust to it and internet etiquette states that all upper case writing usually exhibits anger... Guest guest Report post Posted June 15, 2002 Carol, I don't have any work-related information to help you out other than most people I know who have this disease have not done well working no matter what job they have. Some have had to leave work, no consolation I know... I do know a few people though who have had incredibly strong will power and have managed to go through treatment for a year and still work... I'm not one of them, but some have done it, they have no other choice.
