Guest guest Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Test Cyp is an oil suspension...100 mg.=72 mg.of actual test. So, 1 cc(1 ml. will be 72 mg. of test). Guest guest Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 If your trying to give your self a 60 mg shot of 200mg/ml T then you need a .3ml amount in your syringe. Like you said the half mark is .5 mls or a 100 mg shot. So when using 200 mgs/ml T you /by 2 to get the ml dose. So one ml = 200 mgs. 1/2 a ml = 100 mgs and 1/4 a ml = 50 mgs. Hope this helps best to tell them what mg shot you need and let them worry about how to do it. Most Dr.'s office's and Hospital have 100 mgs/ml T. Guest guest Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Bill? Nurses study extremely hard to make sure they know how to convert ML's to MG's and that into CC's on a syringe...in fact, I know from personal experience that they are tested randomly throughout their careers to make sure they are up to speed on ALL the conversion tables that are needed for medications. Just be sure to let them know how much " T " you need per week and let them handle the rest. If you are full of doubt when they come to give you your injection (s), ask them to explain it to you before they inject it. They are proud people when it comes to knowing their conversions, they will be happy to explain it to you, OK? Get well soon! I hope it isn't something extremely serious. Guest guest Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 I do NOT know.answer to your question I have confused my self and others saying i get 60 MG .Fact is i do not know what i get in terms of T .I go by the ant of liquid i inject and it is 60 on the markings i think any how it is 3rd line on a 3 ml syringe I have a 3 ML syringe .I certainly do not need such a large capacity but i have a box of 100 to use up. Getting the right dose takes experminting and blood testing to get riight levels of T I draw into the syringe more than i need then to get out air . Then i slowly push back into the bottle ontill i am at the 3rd mark up. each mmark is 20 units of liquid. We had started a half MLmark on the syringe but the dose was to much and worked down wards to the 3rd mark so that is i do not know how many units of liquid but the blood tests show this keeps me mid range or better on myT and i am doing fine on it. When we started at the half ml a had high T and got a high red blood count to had to cut back. this has taken months and patience working with Doctor to get right dose for me I am going to hospital in a few weks for open heart surgery to fix or replace myMitral Valve I get a shot iM every 7 days I cant take my syringes in with me. I use 200 MG ML solution So i was wanting to tell them to inject me every 7 days same solution but did not know the unitsof liquid to say to use . I realize part of the liquid is the ester . as a lay person i draw in liquid in a syringe . Right now the amt of liquid is at 3rd mark on my 3ML syringe I have bought a box of 1 ML syringes So now i wonder how much liquid to draw into this small syringe to get same amt of liquid i get in 3 mL syringe at 3rd mark The small 1 ML syringe is marked starting at 20 and goes to 100 at the top so i assume i draw in to 60 on the scale to get same amt of liquid i was getting in the 3 ML syringe at the 3rd line ?? I was thinking that i should simply inject me with x units of the liquid and be sure to use the 200 mG ML liquid if not that strength adjust acordingly At the moment i do not understang how many mGs i get of T Really didnot caer because i go by liquid amt and how i feel and blod test results If i have to tell them how many mgs i get a week i need help to convert and tell them . sorry to be so dense and inept with math ' I am a visual person 3rd line on the 3 ml syringe is my dose.when i use the new 1 ml syringe whqt line on thtat 60?? Guest guest Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 On my 3 ML syringe we started at the one half mark which is 5 ticks up .It was too much of a dose for me and after months of experminting and testing we are at 3rd tic mark up how ever much that is it seems to be to be the right dose for me .. So how many mgs am i getting using the 200 MG ML solution and i will tell them i get x Mgs a week I.M Since a light stroke i cant see mto deal with conversions.nunbers concentrate etc Visually i see where to draw on my 3 ml syringe-2rd tic up .The 5th tick up it marked one half mL . i will later go to my 1 ML syringes i have recently purchased because the 3 ml syringes are not needed -to big- barely take in any liquid to get to 3rd tick mark Bill philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: If your trying to give your self a 60 mg shot of 200mg/ml T then you need a ..3ml amount in your syringe. Guest guest Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Bill every time I read a post it looks different so 120 mg is wrong. If 5 tics up is half a ml this would be 100 mgs. so if your 3 tics up then it is 60 mgs. or .3mls of 200mgs/ml of t. Phil Bill Taber <trainman199@...> wrote: Thanks. I am dense about this. Guest guest Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Hey Bill you are correct - you are getting 60 mgs of the DepoT. You should be able to tell the nurse at the hospital you inject 0.3 milliliters (or CC) of the Depo-T and they can take it from there. On the 1 CC syringe, you still inject the same volume (0.3 cc) Arkansas Bill Taber <trainman199@...> wrote: I do NOT know.answer to your question I have confused my self and others saying i get 60 MG .Fact is i do not know what i get in terms of T .I go by the ant of liquid i inject and it is 60 on the markings i think any how it is 3rd line on a 3 ml syringe I have a 3 ML syringe .I certainly do not need such a large capacity but i have a box of 100 to use up. Guest guest Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Thanks! i knew i was getting 60 something units of a liquid but did not understand the decmal point. Thanks for clarifying i get (point) .60 MLS of the liquid in the syringe and that delivers 120 MGS of T a week when using the 200mgs/ML solution Someone mentioned some solutions are 100 MGS per Ml . In that case one would inject twice the amount or ( point.)120 MLS .to get the 120 mgs a week of T Thank you all for getting my thinking focused! Guest guest Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Phil. OOPS just saw this after responding to prior post . Yes ,i am 3 tick marks up on the 3 ml syringe. I had started out at the one half ml mark (5tick marks up on the 3 ML syringe) which i do recall you told be previously delivered 100mgs a week of T which was easy to understand using the 200MG /ML solution It turned out to be to much for me to take weekly as my red bllood count went to high and t level to high. Graduall yi worked down ward with Doctor and we arrived at the 3rd tick wark up and not the 5th and my blood work and Tlevels looks good so i do want to stay at this 3rd tick mark With the help i got from you and this group i helped my Dr help me experiment till we got proper dosage for me . One thing i see here is one dose sixe of T does not fit all. We all all different . Blood tests are needed now i am writng down that the 3rd tick mark on my 3 ML syringe gives me 60 MGS of T and the liquid amout injected is (point).3 ML Bill philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: Bill every time I read a post it looks different so 120 mg is wrong. If 5 tics up is half a ml this would be 100 mgs. so if your 3 tics up then it is 60 mgs. or .3mls of 200mgs/ml of t. Phil Bill Taber <trainman199@...> wrote: Thanks. I am dense about this. I do NOT know how much T i am getting. I just know to draw to 3rd tick mark on 3 ML the one half mL mark is 5 tics up so i get less than a half mL of the lqiuid i AM TO HAVe OPEN HEART SURGERY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE MY MITRAL VALVE. THANK U ALL FOR TRYING TO HELP. I AM RATTLED AND SINCE my LIGHT STROKE CANT SEEM TO ABSORB THIS STUFF Wayne Birdie wrote: Bill? Guest guest Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Ok ! Finaly i have it straight in my head and i wrote it down as i tend to forogt. This is same thig PHIL said I get 60 mgs of T a week it has been a long process working with doctors Actualy feeling like we are training them to arive at a doseage tat fits the individual patient Thank you all for your help and support! Bill Dan Meatheany <dmeatheany@...> wrote: Hey Bill you are correct - you are getting 60 mgs of the DepoT. Getting the right dose takes experminting and blood testing to get riight levels of T I draw into the syringe more than i need then to get out air .
