I'd only been on Paxil a little more than two weeks. Not sure that's long

enough to get into a withdrawl syndrome.

Thanks.

I was on Paxil for four years but switched over to Wellbutrin which

I've been taking now for several years and am generally pleased with.

One of the things that isn't well known about Paxil(or at least not

talked about in the medical comunity) is that it is a notoriously

difficult drug to stop taking. The symptoms you describe in your note

are typical of Paxil withdrawal. I remember reading about people

having to withdraw by shaving the pill down over a couple of weeks

rather than just breaking it in half. Do a search on " Paxil

Withdrawal " and you'll find quite a bit of information.

Your doctor probably should not have stopped the Paxil so suddenly (I

remember having weirdness when I'd go a day or two without a dose).

If the symptoms persists, you might to talk to your doc about

reintroducing the Paxil (I bet you'll feel better immediately) and

then ramping down the Paxil dose while, if it's possible, introducing

the other drug. I was able to do that with the Wellbutrin because

Wellbutrin and Paxil don't interact. Not sure about Trazodone.

Good luck and Happy Holidays. Keep us posted.
