Guest guest Posted May 23, 2002 Report Share Posted May 23, 2002 I just got back from a visit with my gp this afternoon. Finally, she has heard my pleas about my pain! She took one look at my nails and hands--told me I had the sausage digits and said that I HAVE to see a rheumy. I'm having some blood work tomorrow to rule out rheumatoid arthritis and she gave me the name of a rheumy that doesn't have a 2 month waiting list- I have an upcoming appointment in June. I asked her if I needed some kind of a script to take to the rheumy with her diagnosis and she that when he takes one look at my hands and joints, he'll know why I'm there. She gave me a rx for Celebrex to begin taking , but my insurance company is giving me a hard time about geting it filled. I have to wait a few more days to see if they will apporove it. I hope they do, otherwise my dr will have to give something else. Darn insurance company! Well, that's the latest on me. I'm sure you will be hearing more from me in the future. Anyone else on Celebrex? Does it help? I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has responded to my posts. I appreciate all the advice and words of encouragement. I feel so much better knowing that I am finally going to get the care I need. Thanks for all of the help!
