Guest guest
Oh Ginny, I'm so sorry for your flare. I don't know what to suggest except keep the areas clean and as dry as possible. After you bathe make sure to use a hand held blow dryer to get everything very dry.....be careful not to burn yourself. I know there are a lot of treatments out there but the only things that have ever worked for me are Tgel shampoo (I use it like body soap) and staying dry. I hope you find an answer from your gp and fast. Cheri
Guest guest
-Hi Ginny, I was told by a derm that Remicade is the quickest of the biologics to clear the skin. This was true in my case. It was helped already the next day and cleared in about 2 weeks. The other biologics could help you too: Enbrel,Humira,Raptiva, and Amevieve. Sometimes I use a super potent(that's really what they are called) steroid cream for a very short time to calm something down. check out the fever too....whatever is causing that could be flaring your skin and you may need an antibiotic. Also I guess really bad p can cause a fever too. good Luck....those bad flares are no fun, Marti
Guest guest
hi, nothig works for me as beeing 4-6 weeks each year in the dead sea in israel. the combination of srong, non cancering sun, dry weather, the 33% concentration of salt in the dead sea pools, the mud and the solfur treatments-all together are great. after 3 weeks i look like choklate. even if you come ther and you have white skin. it's wonderfull. the skin is clean. no flares. it does not last for eve but even weeks or few months later it's a great feeling. beside that many pa people are there sun bathing naked in special areas so we can talk to eack othr. it's a great support group with changing members from many countries. arie
