Its not a cure, but you both might benefit from getting a home paraffin bath...my PA started in my hands, and when they were really stiff and in pain, the hot paraffin was the only thing that offered temporary relief...My hands are mostly better now, but I still use the paraffin for hands and feet when they are in pain... Guest guest
Hi , Thanks so much for the idea about the paraffin for my hands. The PA is really affecting my left hand instead of my right-(my right index finger I can no longer bend) but my left hand lately has been the one being affected in the thumb and the top of my knuckles of my index and middle finger and swelled up terribly-thank God I am right handed. I can draw for about two hours with alot of breaks throughout that time period, but I pay for it dearly the next day in the morning. Hey do you or any of the others ever chat? Just finding this website and you replying to my posting has been God sent, my family has noticed the difference in me-knowing that others suffer from the same thing I have. My Dr. doesn't want to put me on Enbrel yet because I'm going to have another surgery on my hip around Christmas time-I'm going to have a total hip put in and he doesn't want to do the surgery with the chance that Enbrel might mess up my immune system and my recovery from surgery. Thanks so much for writing. God Bless, Sue. >
Guest guest
I think we have a link here to PA finally! (just kidding) I am an artist too, and was suprised to read that some of you are as well. I love pencils, watercolor and some pastels. Lucky for me the PA is mostly in my feet and only a little in my hands. I don't do art professionally anymore, but I did get my degree in fine arts and that is where my heart is. Hi Sue, I don't think we have the capability to chat? But I know they do on the NPF (psoriasis foundation) website, and I used to try but there was never anyone there... [Editor's Note: Yes, we DO have chat capabilities here! Marti used to host chat, if I'm not mistaken. I think interest may have waned during the summer months. Marti will clear up the mystery, I'm sure. Anyone can chat at any time: Just go to www., then sign in and click on this list on the left side. When you're in this site, click on " CHAT " on the left side and it will take you to the chat room. Kathy F.]

Kathy F.] Hi Kathy and all, Yes, I moderated a weekly chat on Tuesdays and Cheri did one on Saturdays for almost a year. We had varied attendance but always had an interesting time. Attendance dropped, and we also developed trouble with the chat room with people getting knocked off at least once during a chat session. I wrote to several times but never received a reply as to why the problems were occurring or what we could do about them. In lieu of a formal weekly time someone could post a message like: chat room 8pm Eastern Tuesday ...come join us. If this is acceptable to and the board. We never experienced any trouble what so ever from members. It was always cordial. Hope some of you can enjoy it. Marti
