Guest guest
Hi, Thanks for that, I found it really interesting. I recently underwent some surgery and as a result had trouble sleeping due to pain etc. I got into the habit of staying up late watching TV until i fell asleep. I've stayed with the pattern of late nights and over the last week or so I've had a terrible flare up of the arthritis. after reading your post I'm willing to give early nights a try again. my hubby also says he notices a big difference when I don't have a cuppa after 8pm. I'll keep you posted if as to my success, thanks for the tip. > Hi everyone, > I am sure alot of you know this already, but, I feel I have made a > wonderful discovery about my PA symptoms vs the amount of rest I get. > I used to stay up later than I should watching TV because of my need > for alone time and also aches and pains. Guest guest
I know, I agree with you. My husband is a " burning daylight " kind of guy and usually gets up at 4:30 AM!!!! This means he goes to sleep between 7:30 and 8:00 at night. I used to really fight him about this, but now that I am off work, I decided that it was important for me to get up and keep my routine, as well. I do get more rest, I do have a more regulated medication schedule ( same time each am , etc.) and I do have less flares. My Dr. gave me sleeping pills to take if my pain is too bad at night, and combined with this schedule I really do feel better. If I am still tired after getting up and eating, then I curl up in the recliner and take a morning nap until the sun comes up and the newspaper arrives! Hope this helps! Gentle Hugs, Carol M. in CA
