Guest guest
Hi , So sorry that you're having 'fanny woes'. That has been a problem for me for a long time. Just stop to consider what is involved -- soft tissue holds everything together all over the body, including our fanny. For me, it seems to be right on the ball part of the thigh joint which is exposed when we sit. You can easily find the tender spots by standing and lifting a knee and feeling that joint the is then moved away from the inner part of the hip joint. Although pain meds help, the muscle relaxer helps the most (for me). AND sitting on padded seats. And again, my doc would say, " It's the fibro " rather than the PA. I don't care what causes it, IT HURTS the same! FWIW, patty in a soggy, wet, drippy Pineywoods of East Texas > > > question for everyone - > > today is a rather 'flar-y' day - very cold and damp. sitting here > on a padded chair in front of the computer, it feels like the bones > in my backside are bruised and very very sore.... so, which blinking > bone is this flaring on me this time??? this is a first - never had > it right in the bone like this - it's worse on my left side, a very > sharp constant pain.... Guest guest
Mmmm hmmm ... more problems with THIS bum than I care to disclose! (I have very vivid dreams of using colorectal for target practice ... grrrrrrrr ... ) Anyway, YES, I have a similar situation; mine seems localized to my tailbone-area. CanNOT sit on that spot as it is excruciatingly painful. I instead sit more " forward, " or shift from one side to the other. TMI, perhaps, but I've also had murderous rectal muscle spasms since just prior to my last surgery, a year+ ago. As with everything else, will be interesting to hear what the rheumy will make of all of this. Sounds cheesy, but I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! Warmly, Cat > > > question for everyone - > > today is a rather 'flar-y' day - very cold and damp. sitting here > on a padded chair in front of the computer, it feels like the bones > in my backside are bruised and very very sore.... so, which blinking > bone is this flaring on me this time??? this is a first - never had > it right in the bone like this - it's worse on my left side, a very > sharp constant pain.... Warmly, Cat Now that we are talking about bums, I have to admit that I have woken up several time in agony with pain radiating in the rectal area. I couln't fiqure out if it was related to the colon surgery I had 5 years ago or not. I thought it may be adhesions but now I am beginning to think it is arthritis in the tail bone. All I now is that it is very painful. Janet
Guest guest
hi cat, you have one awesome sense of humour, gal! it's enough to take that ol' bum pain away! thanks for the wonderful levity. i've had that rectal spasm-ing since my first major car accident when i was 20 - it goes right up my pelvic basis and pulsates - for those of you who've never experienced this, don't. Cat and i know how awful that one is! i've seen rehab people over the years who say the tip of my tailbone protrudes.... lucky me. all i can say is a 'feel' for you. karen > > > > > > question for everyone - > > > > today is a rather 'flar-y' day - very cold and damp. sitting here > > on a padded chair in front of the computer, it feels like the bones > > in my backside are bruised and very very sore.... so, which > blinking > > bone is this flaring on me this time??? this is a first - never > had > > it right in the bone like this - it's worse on my left side, a very > > sharp constant pain....
