Guest guest
Hi Jane: I am sorry for the loss your Brother and wife have endured. Trust me it eventually gets better although you never forget. Will keep them in my prayers along with others who have lost loved ones at this time. Do the epidurals alone work for you back. I had to go through the full procedures before I received some relief. Still have some problems, but have to wait 6 months to a year before they can repeat the radio frequency ablation. Guest guest
Hi pam, sorry to hear that you've have joined Marti and myself in mourning the recent loss of a loved one. Our holiday season will forever be tainted with their memories. I'm having a hard time getting into the holiday spirit this year. Yes, it is more difficult and painful to move around, but my heart just isn't in it as I mourn for the loss my brother and his wife are dealing with as it would have been their first holiday with their child. My Christmas gift to myself is going to be a trip to the pain doc for a much-needed epidural and a few days of rest during our office closure - never did I think that I would eagerly look forward to such a thing. What I wouldn't do to get back the healthy body I had four years ago.... Guest guest
Hi Jane Your husband sounds like mine. He thinks if I don't do anything, it will get better. He is so very helpful though. He is temporarily back to work after retirement on a special assignment and boy does it show at home. I am behind on everything. Sometimes I think I am a bit depressed, so will work at getting over this. My back is starting to act up again. I had two epidurals, then two facets, and then two of the nerve blocks called ablation (like a cautery I think). Has lasted only about 3 months. I can stand longer than I can sit and car rides really do me in. Hope things improve. Barb

Guest guest
Hi I'm with you on that one, it can be embarrassing to watch your wife do the MANS job! I know there are no supposed roles, but that thing with the lights is a man job, and we men don't like our pride being hurt. I have no answer for it as I do it myself sometimes (sit and watch her change a tyre, for example!!), I would just agree with Fran that I don't think the wife minds, but it's a man thing and we just have to get over our hunter gatherer instincts. Sorry for going all caveman lol, but I soooo! know what you are talking about. Micky
