Guest guest
Regarding plantar fascitis, I too have orthotics and wear SAS shoes. However, I'm still having pain in my left heel and today stabbing pain on the inside of my right heel. Also pain in my right hip/lower back and the usual hands. I'm not having a real good time here at work today. I'm barely able to walk and in soo much pain. Perhaps because I have some very stressful things going on on the homefront? I see the rheumy on Wednesday...any suggested courses of action? I've had the cortisone shots - not helpful. The last medrol dose did nothing except give me bothersome hot flashes. Tonight will be my fourth Humira injection and I'm not getting much relief from it yet. I also have lymph node swelling in my neck and head region again. Would a couple of weeks on disability and some physical therapy for my feet be of any help? Any ideas??? Help. Warm blessings, Jane

I can't tell you how much PT helped me...although PT is short term, tell them your goal is self-management, and they will make sure you learn things you can continue at home. Also, being able to get the rest you need helps a lot...I did the disability thing once for 2 months, and remained in remission after that time for 6 months. Guest guest
Hi and everyone, I haven't been on to check messages since last Tuesday. Went to the rheumy on Wednesday and he put me on disability for the rest of the month. I start P.T. for my feet today and tomorrow go for an epidural in my spine to stop the back pain. Today is the first day I've felt well enough to sit up and check messages. My fiance' has my son & I staying with him and his daughter and he fusses over me too much...even going to drive me to P.T. I think all this loving care will be a big plus in getting back on my feet again. Also back to taking 1000 mg of Azulfidine a day along with Humira. Rheumy says if the Azul doesn't do it then its on to Metho. Take care everyone. Warm blessings, Jane
Guest guest
Well, I've had one session of P.T. and yesterday got the shot in my spine. I'm a little sore today in my back but will go to P.T. in an hour. People at work are placing bets on whether or not I returen or go on disability...I'll show them. Getting so much rest is also a big help, guess this wasn't such a bad idea. Warm blessings, Jane
Guest guest
Please share with us how much the epidural helped with your back pain. Will you be getting the two additional ones? Or will the doctor play wait and see? I would like to get this type of treatment but I am on coumadin and I am getting conflicting information on how this will affect my treatment. Is there anyone out there that has had epidural injections while on coumadin? or stopped it and used lovenox injections for a time period prior to the epidural? or just stoped the coumadin without using any other type of blood thinner? PS How bad was your back pain before you decided to go this route? Thanks a million. Peggy B.
