Hud,

I know it's taken both ways but people have complained about red stains

under their skin when they do subcutaneous. Steve B.

<<Dr. D's encyclopedia mentioned taking B12 before bed>>

Funny - the woman at Whole Foods told me NOT to take it before bed because

it will energize me and I won't be able to sleep!

Hi Bob, Replies below

## Not so much the shoulders/neck. Rather low back and legs. For a while

I was on muscle relaxers, but they didn't seem to work very well. Was also

on pain pills and that worked better. It was when I started on the

magnesium sulfate shots that the muscles would relax. Magneisum is very

good for that. Later I discovered the magnesium orotates worked as well as

the shots and switched to them

## BTW, says back shoulder pain is a result of a clogged liver. You

might want to try her cleanses. They really helped to stabilize my health.

>

> Gail, I have been ill since '75 and on disability since '96. I thought I

had finally cured myself about 18 months ago but partying, trying to make up

for lost time....lol, and such caused a relapse.

## What is your health problem? Is it cfs? If so, I've always heard

alcohol will increase symptoms. I had a friend that also had cfs and

whenever he would drink, he always got worse. Still if you've acheived

health once after whatever illness you have, you can and will do it again!

I cannot seem to get back to consistent good health. 5,000 mcg. is a lot!!

Did you give yourself those injections? What part of the body did you use

for injections? I am just doing 1,000 mcg., 3 times weekly, how long did you

do the 5,000 mcg.?

Yes, I gave the injections to myself in the leg. It is important to have a

needle long enough to get into the muscle. I'd gone to a doctor down in the

valley that specalized in cfs and that is the amount he prescribed. They

also showed me how to give myself injections. I must have stayed on that

dose for 9 months or so. Whenever I ran out of the refills, I went to a

doctor where I live and he would only prescribe the 1,000 mcg. twice weekly.

By that time I was much better and the lower dose was sufficient. I can't

remember how long I stayed on that dose. Seem like another year or so, but

eventually the shots started making me feel drained instead of energized.

It was then I stopped taking them. Guess when you have had your fill of

something, your body will let you know. :)

##I understand now doctors are only allowed to prescribe 1,000 mcg. once a

month. I have a friend that has a very bad case of cfs and we can't find a

doctor who will even give her a prescrition for the shots. So we have had

to resort to getting them out of Canada. You don't need a prescrition to

get them there. You can just buy them over the counter. You can also buy

them over the counter in Mexico. But when I called Mexico, they wouldn't

ship them to me because they were in a glass bottle and he said it would

break. Guess they don't package them very good. So we just went with

Canada.

Hi Tee.

McGuff's Compounding Pharacy makes injectable B-12 that is not too

expensive. They might be a good source for sublingual B-12 but I've

never discussed it with them. They are in Santa Ana, CA and their

phone # is 877-444-1133 (toll free).

Thanks, I'll have to check it out. My internet searches have been

bombing out. If I find a formula that has a flavor I'm not allergic to,

it will have mannitol or sorbitol in it, which my stomach can't handle!

I'd be happy with no flavor, no sugar, or just plain sugar! LOL!!!

Hi

I get most of my products in S Africa through the Life Extension

Foundation of USA. They carry warnings on contra-indications and

supply a full briefing on quantities depending on your specific

condition. To date, I've had no problems with them. Try them on

www.lifeextension.com. I know they are very available in the US.

Unfortunately, their sublingual tablets contain sorbitol and mannitol

which I can't tolerate. I don't know why anyone has to add any

sweetener at all!

I don't know what " Cheny's old pharmacy, " was, but I just checked w McGuff

(877)444-1133 last week and they were prepared to send me my refill as soon as I

wanted it.

Is anyone in California able to bet the b12 injectible that Cheney

used to prescribe? Cheney's old pharamcy apparently wasn't in

compliance with CA law.

Thanks,

Hi ,

I'm continuing to get my B12 and magnesium from Cheney's recommended pharmacy,

Wellness Pharmacy in Birmingham Alabama. I continue to use them because they

prepare preservative-free, single dose vials where McGuffs puts preservatives in

it. t's been a couple of months since my last order.

Can you tell me what the problem with Wellness being in compliance with CA law

is?

Under California Law, a compounded item by a Pharmacist must be

proven safe. Apparently, Wellness has not followed the protcol set

forth in Californial.

I always buy my syringes through a pet supply place. Try Valley Vet. I usually

get the 3cc w/25 ga needle.

How long are the needles and where are you injecting?

Do you know of a website for injection site?

Syringes are fine. Ordering from Canada, you need a script for Vit B-12

injectable.

I correct myself, Mike.....no script is needed. I order a 10 dose vial just to

see if they asked for a prescription, and they did not.

So, I'll test this when it arrives. So far, I have felt no effects from the

injection I gave myself yesterday. When my doctor gives it to me, I get a power

'surge' that last several days.

According to their customer service, you don't need

one. I guess we'll find out for sure when I try to

place an order. :)
