Not , but my son is similar age and weight and we're using biotin

plus magnesium in him and his 18 month old sister for yeast control.

We use the Country Life brand of biotin, and it comes in a 1000 mcg (1

mg) tablet and a 5000 mcg (5 mg) capsule. We also supplement with Now

brand Magnesium citrate powder.

We started with 500 mcg biotin (1/2 tablet of the 1000 mcg) plus about

1/8 teaspoon of magnesium (80 mg). Then we slowly increased the dose

every few days until we got to the point of keeping yeast in check. My

3 y.o. who weighs 44 lbs is now taking 6000 mcg of biotin three times a

day, and my 18 month old who weighs 25 lbs is on 2500 mcg twice a day.

We tailor the magnesium dose as needed depending on their stools. Our

youngest is on less biotin but needs more magnesium than her brother

who is taking much more biotin.

We have used Diflucan in both kids in the past too. I found it helpful

to start on the biotin before the course of Diflucan was over so that

we had worked up to a decent dose of biotin by the time the Diflucan

was done.

Hope that helps a bit,

Sheri

do you also give Magnesium ( & which kind) with it? (He tends to get

constipated and then has runny poops when it does come out.)
