Guest guest
We have done 4 rounds of both and I was wondering if its ok to do a round of just ALA here and there. I know not to switch in a middle of a round but mean if I wanted to give DMSA a break for a round? Does DMSA help THAT much in mercury exiting the body? Guest guest
Yes, we did. We actually started with just ALA, then added some DMSA at about round 25 or so. It caused so much more yeast for my dd that we only used it every other round or so for a while. She is actually one of the kids who does much much better with just ALA, always has, so I haven't even used any DMSA for her in the last 5-6 months. It does help speed the mercury out some, but it isn't necessary to use it every round unless your son does poorly with just ALA.
