Guest guest
Hi Lynn, I live in NY and work with dogs. My dog Flurry had Fibrosarcoma. She's cancer free for close to a year now and takes LDN every night. I get the script from Dr. Newkirk at Margate Animal Hospital. He's a very wonderful holistic vet. You can call and ask for a phone consult for the LDN and tell him that , Flurry's mom and Elaine's friend (dog is Shayna) sent you. I think he might have my friend's dog on the LDN for what your dog suffers from..LDN is excellent for autoimmune diseases because it's an immune modulator. Did you know Robin Kovary? Skip makes up the LDN for Flurry. LDN for canines Posted by: "Lynn Whittaker" lwhittaker01@... mollysirius Thu Sep 4, 2008 6:20 pm (PDT) My name is Lynn, and I live in CT. I am a professional dog trainer and own my own business called Bow Wow University. I am an avid resuer and have fostered several hundred dogs in the past 8 years. I have four dogs of my own, three Boxers and a Boston Terrier. One of my Boxer dogs ( the oldest at 9) was diagnosed with Degenerative Myolapathy which is very similiar to MS in humans. She has been on a protocol developed by a vet using amniocaproic acid and acetylcystine. Both are taken orally, in addition to a compounded supplement. she has fared ok. This is a progressuve disease that initially presents itself with hind end paralasis.. The onset can be slow to moderate given the dog's overall health, etc. Molly was dx'd about 2 years ago, she is almost down completely. I sling her to take her out for toileting and she has a cart that has given her mobility. I belong to a support group for this disease, and while others are trying alternatives, they are all for the protocol that she is currently on, and are against other protocols based on the lack of medical studies, etc. One of the treatments was LDN discussed, and quickly snuffed out.. I am VERY interested in trying this with her and wonder if any of you humans have tried this with your canines.
