wow synchronicity

I was coming to post almost exact same question. I am on LDN right

now, real low ldn, and my research for nutritional supps and

orthomolecular therapys is bringing me to conclusion that dealing with

remaining amalgams and then detox might be something i need to do to

open things up more----but i do wonder how LDN ties in if any problem

taking it before that is done? Please let me/us know if you find any

research on that and I hope to hear from others here too.

How do you find a holistic practitioner to administer the chelation therapy? I'm getting my amalgams removed and would like to get the chelation therapy once those things are removed!

I've been on LDN(4.5mg)about two years. It has helped my bladder control an reduced my spasm but no other improvement. Recently I was diagnosed with heavy metal toxicity (mercury and antimony) and as soon as I get my filings out, I am going in for chelation. Is there any information on heavy metal poisoning and how it affects LDN? I do know Heavy Metal decreases the oxygen content of the blood and turns the body acidic thereby contributing to the proliferation of viruses such as Epstein Barr, but I was wondering if there are any information in regards to its effect on LDN? ...Lydia

About detox & mercury amalgams, this was one of the first things I did way

back when.

I removed the mercury slowlt as each filling needed to be replaced.

Ken Presner, a long time MS, and Crohn's sufferer had his fillings

removed as well. He followed this with oral DMSA chelation. Following

this he also recommended having your immune system checked by a doctor,

and mercury toxicity can have a negative impact; then rebuilding the

immune system to normal levels. His comment was that he did not notice

an real significant results until after he build his immune system up

again.

Some good mercury detoxification links are:

Someone pointed out at another board tht following a chelation

protocol after amalagam out (like andy cutlers protocol) might be

dangerous for some people with certain kind of cfids/me etc because

low glutathione part of issue, inability to detox correctly, so the

chelation might expose you to more mercury/metals and you may not be

able to get rid of it before it does some damage.

I don't know how to figure this out or who has the last word on

it............

I have a friend who has ppms as outlined in my post

low dose naltrexone/message/69051

" Other than high levels of plaque and heavy metals in his arteries he

is as healthy as an OX. To address this he is undergoing nutritional

therapy and oral chelation and may receive intravenous chelation as

well. "

Any one else have this plaque/metals issue? I wonder if plaque and

heavy metals have been linked to MS. I would also appreciate feedback

from people with metal and plaque buildup and their experience with LDN.

Best Wishes

Ainvar

you ask good question ainvar, get any good answers?

perhaps its like cfids/me (if you read " oslers web " seems to be some

similiariites with cfs and ms, and aids) when detox system has been

compromised and not enough glutathione people can't get rid of metals

and toxins as well.

I would like to know how LDN inter-relates to detox system.

I have had hard time taking steady dose of LDN since started over

amonth ago, have to take it on and off and stay low like .25 mg. I am

suspecting its partly related to my inability to detox well in phase 2.

also, I thought I read that with health issues its best to take LDN

intermittently instead of continuously, like depends on whether you

need to raise or lower your immune system?
