Guest guest
From: Woollams The UK Conference on Cancer Prevention organised by CANCERactive attracted almost 500 guests and had the very best speakers in the UK. The official Cancer Plan was followed by experts talking on breast cancer, diet, EMF's, melatonin, vitamin D, and Bisphenol A amongst other subjects. You can read a report on the conference http://www.canceractive.com/page.php?n=
Guest guest
This was an extremely interesting read and again illustrates that people are 'all over the place' regarding cancer, its 'causes' and its treatments. On one hand you have the 'expert' with a glowing comment about the prophylactic removal of the ovaries to prevent breast cancer. I have a better idea. Let's just cut off the breasts and remove the ovaries at birth. Soon there will be no women to have breast cancer and think of the money saved for future generations................uh, what generations? Then we had the five portion and the nine portion advocates of eating fruits and veggies. We also have the wonderful statistic of vegetarians not getting cancer as much as meat eaters............please tell that to my daughter-in-law, a vegetarian since age 10 and at 43, a candidate for mastectomy once she finishes her round of chemo followed by surgery and a year of Herceptin. We also had the sunlight condemnation and the sun lover. I gather that those favoring any particular worship will simply come away from that conference still worshiping their own favorite pitch. I especially liked the promise of great strides being made 20 years hence. Now, in years past they promised cancer to be 'cured' within 2 years.....................now 20..............tomorrow 50! Cancer, the word, can never be cured because it is not one disease in every case. It's the name given certain apparent diseases. Yesterday, while having lunch with a fellow health insurance age, at 58 with a son of 20 and a wife of about 45, he told me about his health insurance premium going to $1,500 in two months! That's for a 3 member family. We need to continue to search, as we do, be in touch with those that know what works and does not, and keep our fingers crossed! Joe C.
