I'm sure you are not interested in whether or not Fasting is 'starving' the

cancer or simply allowing the body to use all of its resources to eliminate

the sickness.

Typically fasting over the decades I have been familiar with it was as a

'Physiological Rest'..............explained as a rest for the body to avoid

using its energy to either digest food or combat wrong eating.

It doesn't seem we really ever get beyond establishing that it is the body

that does the work. All of the FO, NONI, NTENSE, GRAVIOLA, or Maitake

can do nothing in a dead person's body. So, ultimately, it is the body

and avoiding as many enervating involvements gives this wonderful mechanism

the ability to eliminate much of what is wrong.

Obviously it cannot help in 'mechanical' problems such as breaks and

fractures, however it keeps us alive for a lot of years though we abuse it

regularly.

The old fasting proponents, such as Herbert M. Shelton, were not too

positive about fasting being useful in cancer treatments, however there are

so many cancers in different parts of the body one can never tell I suppose.

Reading that someone fasted and gives a lot of credit to it for defeating

prostate cancer is encouraging. Let us hope that he is again successful

in defeating the latest attack.

People routinely fast for upwards of 30 days and supplying nutrition never

seems to be a problem and there is lots of weight loss but wasting is not an

issue. It is wise to work with someone experienced in fasting and with the

knowledge as to when to break the fast before there is wasting. That point

eventually comes.

I remember fasting at Shelton's Ranch back in the late 50s and Dr. Shelton

would always check one's tongue ever morning. If the tongue displayed a

heavy white coating he considered it time to stop the fast.

Fasting to Shelton was nothing but distilled water. NOTHING!

He said that bed rest was critical when fasting and avoidance of any

enervating activity was very important as well. Just picture the ill

animal. Curled up in a corner and barely sipping water when needed.

Good luck in whatever course you undertake.

I think fasting, particularly the Breuss fast, can be very effective

in healing cancer, but I would consider doing such a fast only under

the medical supervision of a practitioner knowledgeable about fasting

w/cancer patients.

Regardless, I think carrot, celery, and particularly beet juice (and

to a lesser extent radish [juice]) are cancer-healing.

While carrot and beet juice certainly have some valuable properties, they

are also high in sugar - juicing concentrates the sugar. As we know, cancer

Loves sugar. The original email says a " small amount " . If it is truly just

a small amount I suppose having so much sugar might not be a big problem.

I believe that natural sugar from fruits and vegetables should not be a problem.
