I think that it is very important to have someone do kinesiology on every vitamin/suppliment to make sure that your body is positively responsive to it. If it is incompatible with your body, it doesn't really matter what ingredients are in it.
Guest guest
The original question was: Does anyone have information as to the reliability of Vitamin Shoppe products? It was posted in relation to my post about a product they carry for another manufacturer. They also carry well respected Fish Oils and some say respected Flax Oils and a host of herbs etc..... Kyolic Garlic et al...etc. The 'I have heards' response can be dangerous because it plants the seed and lets our own imaginations water it. Some of my posts often included, " some say " however usually in a different context. The 'natural' vs. 'synthetic' vitamin discussion is forever popping up and it seems most of us would prefer, if we could, to obtain all of our nourishment from wholesome organic food. That is the preferable way. However it is not available to everyone nor can it be afforded by everyone. Additionally we have to hope it is what we think we are buying. I checked on a couple of 'food based vitamin sites'................. I find a problem with them. Lots of claims and I for one cannot verify them any more than most people can verify whether or not XXZ drug is dangerous or not. One site rips Ascorbic Acid to shreds and yet many of the 'leading' alternative practitioners can't get enough Ascorbic Acid into us. To believe those nay-Sayers, one need throw Linus ing out the door. Sorry, I'm not buying that pap. In the past I have checked out a couple of 'natural vitamin' sites and found that when I checked the ingredient list.............viola, synthetic vitamins are used! That does not mean that all of them use synthetic vitamins? I do not know! However, I am afraid that field might also have its share of propagandists. In fact, I am sure this list too has a couple of 'associates' providing information on products which many of us cannot verify. For those seeking a price break Vitamin Shoppe stores are an excellent place to shop and do not hesitate to check Swansons and Doctor's Trust on-line for name-brand items. For example, those interested in a highly touted Fiber product called ProFibe can find it at Doctor's Trust much less expensive than anywhere else. They also have Turmeric Force, a 'natural' -2 inhibiter and one with lots of Curcuminoids listed on the label and lower cost than most. If some scientist or respected Cancer researcher wants to educate us on vitamin quality..............have at it..............we need it. Joe C. I suggest you join that group and read the FILES section and also get her two books translated into English (the others are in German) from amazon.com. Hope this helps mjh
