Guest guest
Marcy, If bindweed is working then you should consider the addition of other angiogenesis inhibitors. The body has three major pathways to assure angiogenesis and you want to close them all. Additions might include theobromine (from chocolate), squalamine, shark/bovine cartilage, minocyline, captopril, spironolactone. There are many that you might consider. If you have insurance then Avastin seems to be a good one for breast cancer -- especially at double the dose used for colon cancer. With the bleeding you want to make sure you are using plenty of green leafy vegetables for the vitamin K. If you have access the vitamin K for your purpose is K3 (menadione) which is best used with Vit C and alpha lipoic acid. The menadione stops pain as well as morphine 75% of the time. Use levels in the 20-30 mg range IV or IM once a day. Most physicians won't want to do this as they are unschooled in its merits and safety. To get more serious would probably involve travel. With respect to its use in fighting cancer, it was a recommendation passed along by Ba Hoang http://www.getwellinternational.com/about_us.html to an MD on my " wellness advisory team " to be used in conjunction with artemisinin. Apparently Dr. Ba has patients whose conditions are similar to mine (ulcerated breast cancer) and who have used a combination of artemisinin, DermaWeed, and CellSaver with good results. DermaWeed and CellSaver are both fairly expensive, but apparently these good results can be achieved in just a few week's time---they're not products you will be using long-term. I began using artemisinin in March with some success, but there was no radical improvement. Another of my " team " is a practitioner who happened to have a bindweed product on hand called C-Statin. The bottles had expired 11/03 so he used electrodermal screening to test me for compatability with it. Since I tested well he gave me 4 bottles of the stuff (which retail for $88 each---I love this guy!) last week. I've seen amazing improvement in my ulcerated lesions in just 10 days time taking daily doses of (8) 250mg capsules C-Statin (in addition to 1200mg artemisinin and 8 Oncolyn caplets). The " ridges " that surround my ulcers have decreased substantially, and in some places have completely flattened to the level of the healthy tissue around them. I had a great deal of blood vessels proliferating in these ridges which has also substantially decreased. One disconcerting thing though is the enormous amount of bleeding I experienced these past 7-10 days. Bindweed can be purchased as DermaWeed or VascuStatin (both from Allergy Research Group) or C-Statin (Aidan). There may be other brands that I'm unaware of. As I said, it's expensive, but considering how things looked before I started using it, I think the results are worth it. Do you have breast cancer, too? --Marcy

Guest guest
Amber, I'm not sure what you mean when you say that you're trying to find " proven alternative supplements/herbs " . Could you explain? I was also curious as to why you decided against the use of wormwood. Artemisinin is not wormwood---it's a derivative of wormwood, and much more effective. I first heard about artemisinin a couple of years ago on a network evening news program that featured info on cancer research by a couple of scientists from the University of Washington. I was involved with other alternatives at the time so I kinda put that info into my mental filing cabinet. I do lots of internet browsing on cancer and more recently I keep coming up with references to artemisinin from sources that I consider to be reputable and noteworthy. I had one of my " wellness team " practitioners, an MD check into it also. He's discussed this approach with doctors in CA who are using alternative methods as well as with Simone from NJ (with whom he's acquainted...http://www.drsimone.com/thefounder.cfm for some info on Dr. Simone...I'd heard of and read about him before my doc told me that they'd spoken) who are very excited about the use of artemisinin to treat cancer, especially breast cancer. You've got to read these: http://www.mwt.net/~drbrewer/canart1.htm http://www.mwt.net/~drbrewer/canart2.htm I think you received the wrong impression from me. I've had a SLOW response with artemisinin alone, but the tumors have indeed responded. Since I've added the bindweed it's been amazing. The first week or so was a bit scarey, with mega-pain and lots of bleeding. It's been about 2 weeks now and both the pain and bleeding have decreased. One of the CA docs who treats Stage IV breast cancers recommends adding CellSaver (from Allergy Research Group) in addition to the artemisinin and bindweed, which I'm going to order today. Something else you might want to look into is Oncolyn. http://www.santelink.com/oncolyn.html Have you researched the link between breast cancer and emotional trauma, especially with a parent (mother and children, left breast...father, right breast)? By the way, I have an opportunity to meet with Dr. Simone and have an appointment with him at the Simon Kramer Institute, New Philadelphia, PA on Friday! --Marcy > Hi Marcy: > > <<To learn the specifics on the plant bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis), > an internet search will yield the info you are looking for.>> > > ==>Searched and found interesting info - seems like a good angegenisis > inhibitor. > > << With respect to its use in fighting cancer, it was a recommendation > > passed along by Ba Hoang to an MD on my " wellness advisory team " to be > used in conjunction with artemisinin.>> > > ==>Isn't artemisinin wormwood? > > <<Apparently Dr. Ba has patients whose conditions are similar to mine > (ulcerated breast cancer) and who have used a combination of artemisinin, > DermaWeed, and CellSaver with good results.
