Happiness is the absence of striving for happiness.

From their website:

Q. What types of cancer does Dr. Burzynski treat?

A. Dr. Burzynski and his associates treat many types of cancer. Our

advanced treatments have offered hope to many people from all corners of the

world. We are a growing source of hope in The Battle Against Cancer. [Click

Here for Additional Information]

Q. How can I find out what Dr. Burzynski has done for others?

A. Dr. Burzynski has helped many people and some of them have formed

a " Patient Group Website " on the internet. This site provides information

for prospective patients, their families and friends. The patient group

website can be found at www.burzynskipatientgroup.org . It is maintained and

operated independently by that group.

Q. What are the differences between our therapy and other cancer

treatments?

A. Because our therapies do not kill healthy cells, as do

chemotherapy and radiation therapy, they have no known long-term side

effects and the short-term side effects generally are not life-threatening.

Our therapies may help reduce pain, resulting in the need for less pain

medications and thus eliminating the side effects of pain medications. Our

therapies may reduce the wasting associated with cancer, allowing patients

to gain strength. Because the physical well-being of patients may improve

and because our therapies are nontoxic, these therapies may result in fewer

hospitalizations than standard cancer therapies. Our therapies may help to

reverse the effects of brain tumors.

Q. How do patients receive their therapies?

A. Our therapy is unlike traditional chemotherapy because it is

safe enough to be given to patients 24-hours-a-day. Many patients take only

capsules or tablets without intravenous injections. Other therapies are

delivered intravenously through a catheter with a pump that infuses the

medications at scheduled intervals. The dosage and dosing schedule depend on

the type of cancer. The pump and therapy bags are small and light enough to

be carried around by a young child.

Q. How long will treatment last?

A. The length of treatment depends on the patient's response. When

patients achieve a complete response of long duration, intravenous therapy

is discontinued. Patients may then take our therapies in capsule form for 8

to 12 months.

Q. How long will I need to wait for my first appointment?

A. Appointments are generally made within 7-10 days. In urgent

situations, appointments may be scheduled more rapidly.

Q. How long will I need to stay in Houston during the initial

treatment process?

A. Patients must come to Houston for a consultation and evaluation.

If the patient decides to start treatment, he or she can expect to be in

Houston from 1-3 weeks, depending on the method of treatment that is used.

Follow-up visits are scheduled about once every 2 months and last 1-2 days.

We are an outpatient facility, so patients need to commute to the clinic

daily. [Click here for Travel Information]

Q. How can I get an informational packet from The Burzynski Clinic?

A. Contact our Prospective Patient Department by calling (713)

335-5697, or e-mail your request to info@...
