Matt,

Yes, Arimidex is powerful stuff, but it looks like you need it. In my opinion

you

can start per your doctor's suggestion for a couple of weeks. Can you get your

level tested again then?

Without tests, when I felt results I might be tempted to cut back to a half

tablet

twice a week.

I'm pretty sure " Oest " stands for oestradiol (E2) from the range. At

http://www.gpnotebook.co.uk/simplepage.cfm?ID=570818627 I see a male

range of 50 to 200 pmol/Ll for oestradiol. If your lab upper range was for total

estrogens, I think the upper range would be higher than 150. ( " Oest " could

stand for oestrogen, oestriol, oestradiol or oestrone on the side of the

Atlantic

where they think that's the correct spelling).

The 50 - 200 pmol/L range is one of a very few I've found with a LOWER limit

for male E2. It corresponds to about 14 - 54 pg/mL.

Regardless, you're at 250 and your lab range is <150. You could cut your

level in half and still not be too low. So starting at two 1mg tablets/week

doesn't seem excessive.

I'm sure someone here will tell us if I'm talking through my hat.

Best,

Bruce

Thanks for the reply Bruce, yes it sounds like it is E2, but I will

find out from my lab... and also see if they know a lower level!!

Will give the 2 tablets a week a go and see if I feel any differnet,

I wonder how long arimidex takes before it starts lowering E2?

Yeah..im due for tests in a couple of weeks, so will be

interesting.. especially to see if the hcg has continued to

stimulate my gonads, as I would have no exo test in my system now!

cheers.

Bruce, bear in mind it seems that different labs have different

ranges. You sound like you're just below Quest's low range; I

suspect the 7 figure is from another lab using different range

criteria. Maybe not, but in any case I've seen different labs use

different ranges and range criteria.

That said, as I posted recently, my E2 dropped to 0 last test.

I was taking a whole pill daily! It apparently took over a year to

go that low. Oddly enough, I didn't feel too bad. I passed through

a period of itchy nips on the way down that had me worried, and now

that I'm taking half a pill every other day (after having stopped

altogether for ten days!) I seem to be re-entering that feeling.

Libido is all over the place, but mostly way too low. I'm

thinking of going with a half pill every third day for a while. T

level is around 800, which should be great for me (was about 187 when

I started). Once I tune the E2 I'm hoping for smooth sailing!

Best wishes and good luck to all!
