Guest guest
Hi Phil, How long have you been doing the shots in addition to the Testim? (You probably said this but I've forgotten.) I would think 200mg/week would keep your T in the 800-1000 range without any Testim. I don't know what your co-pay for Testim is. When I was on Androgel 10 mg/day the insurance co-pay was steep, about $95/month. T-cyp & syringes cost a helluva lot less, at full price without insurance. Peace, Bruce > > They say in a lot of articles that I have read that if you have high > E2 Estradiol and you get it down you will have higher levels of > testosterone on less TRT. > This was not the case for me before getting my E2 down I would not > feel good unless my T levels were over 800 my Dr. would keep them at > 1000. Guest guest
Phil, Maybe you could get your doc to write a letter of medical necessity saying that the gels aren't working for you and that you need to be on injections? Guest guest
Bruce has a good point. Needles and syrgines were about 3 bucks for 10 the last time I got some. T-cyp was about 100 bucks a bottle for generic. This was 10 ml, so 10 200mg doses. Mark
Guest guest
Hi, The tool used is called a trocar. It has a chisel type sharp end with a tubular interior. The pellets are usually loaded 10 at a time and plunged home with a ram behind the pellets. 75mg T pellets are used in women and I don't know of a smaller size just for women but that doesn't mean much. The wife has been receiving both T and E pellets since 1991. Typically she would receive 4 E 25mg and 3 75mg T pellets. More recently she has been down to 3E and 2T. The wife is 5' 11' and used to weigh about 190. It made the world of difference in her life and mine when she was rescued after 1 1/2 years of suffering. As I mentioned the max of 20 X 75mg yields 1500mg for 120 days or 12.5/day. It is totally efficient as it all gets consumed by dissolving gradually into the blood stream. As it is so constant, the body does not snap into conversion of T to E. Trouble free and not any more expensive. In fact in Augusta most of the expense is paid for by medicare unlike other parts of the US much to my surprise. We travel from uipstate NY to NC for a visit with out son and make the trip down to Augusta and back in one day. Did I already mention the web site: http://www.members.aol.com/gambr999/ Ernie > > > > > > > > They say in a lot of articles that I have read that if you have > high > > > > E2 Estradiol and you get it down you will have higher levels of > > > > testosterone on less TRT. > > > > This was not the case for me before getting my E2 down I would not > > > > feel good unless my T levels were over 800 my Dr. would keep > them at > > > > 1000.
