Guest guest
Ok, I have been on 10g of AG split dose. My Dr. told me that it was a better method as it keeps down the E2 conversion and increased DHT. However, I have been having sleeping problems, so my doctor is going to let me try 10g in the morning. I know some of you are doing the split dose, but don't you eliminate some of the benefits by taking T and then going to sleep. Wouldn't 10g in the morning mirror the bodies natural rhythm, i.e. T highest in the morning?
Guest guest
HI Tallen I am on 10g a day single dose and have no problems with it. I think it is a matter of finding what's best for you. Excess DHT and/or E2 is not a given. Nor is sleeplessness if you split the dose. Nick > Androgel: 10g - split or all at once? > > > Ok, I have been on 10g of AG split dose. Guest guest
tallen2_34, For probably at least two years I've split my 10 G dose when Brad, a member here suggested it. Regularly at 9:00 PM I take my sleep aid supplements: one Valerian Root, standardized extract capsule, a Valerian Root, whole herb capsule and two Sam's Club, Member's Mark benadryl caplets. Nine thirtyish I apply second five Gms AndroGel. Go to bed 10:30 - 11:30. I lay out on bedside table, one Valerian Root, standardized extract capsule, a Valerian Root, whole herb capsule...these I take generally on second piss call. I sleep well! My guiding factor is to make certain there's five hour interval between first and second dose application of AndroGel. For some reason, way I'm wired, no sleep Rx or sleep aid supplement will work entire night as a singlet. I've done Ambien, Sonata, Trazadone and Tylenol PM as singlets....I was awake after 3-4 hrs. Being that Valerian Root is an herb and innocuous...I consider the second dose as overlapping with pre-bedtime dose. 66 yo GayMan OR eon Androgel: 10g - split or all at once? Ok, I have been on 10g of AG split dose. My Dr. told me that it was a better method as it keeps down the E2 conversion and increased DHT. Guest guest
there's only a small spike in the t-levels for the first hour when you apply the gels--testim especially soaks into the lipids rapidly and secretes steadily throughout the day. not sure how that would affect e2 conversion. natural circadian rhythems in t-levels are certainly present for young, healthy men. men around 50-60 years old have remarkably flat t levels through the day regardless of whether they are hypogonadal or eugonadal. not sure why, just saw this data presented by an MD named Andre Guay in Mass. Anyone have data on this? > Ok, I have been on 10g of AG split dose. My Dr. told me that it was > a better method as it keeps down the E2 conversion and increased > DHT. Guest guest
How about stimulation of the CNS after application? Perhaps my sleep problems are unrelated to the T application, but I wake up at the same time almost every night 4:30, it's almost as if something is " wearing off " , then I wake up. I am now trying 10g in the morning and seeing if I can sleep better. Tonight is night number 2.... > > Ok, I have been on 10g of AG split dose.
