Or E2 or SGBH. Currently looking for a new endo or urologist or GP who I can educate. (If anyone in Chicago can recommend someone they are happy with let me know!) My doc wants me off T completely. The 2x a week is the very mimimum I was willing to try. So far I'm noticing that I'm pretty exhausted but that may be due to my crazy last two weeks of burning the candle at both ends. << Anyway, to answer your question of > why I knock off slathering on T every once in a while for a few days > is because I feel too much, or too constant, T makes me bloat up, > water retentive, and gain weight. So > for me it is a weight, bloat, thing and it is my way of dealing with > it, to cut back and let the a couple pounds of water weight come off.>> The first few days I cut back on AG I noticed a difference in the way my body was holding water. Long, full urination with a strong stream. That hasn't been the case lately. > That is my story but I am curious what your blood test for total T > was and what reasoning your doctor had for prescribing only really a > total of 10mg of T a week. This seems very low, but then I presume > your system works pretty normally and you don't much at all > supplemention? > norton --------------------------------------------- No, my body makes very little T. Like 149 before I began AG but up around 700 to 1000 on my first blood test following supplementation. Have no idea what my levels are now. As I mentioned earlier if anyone in or near the Chicago area has a knowledgeable doc they are dealing with I'd appreciate knowing who they are. Guest guest
Tom, I am near Chicago, but the endo I am dealing with is leaving the country shortly for at least 6 months to a year, if not permanently. She did recommend another endo if I need one while she is gone (my primary is going to take over with email support from her while she is gone) who she says is good at treating things " besides diabetes and thyroid " . But I have no personal experience with him myself, so I have no idea what he is really like. If you'd like his info send me an email offlist - I don't want to put his name out publicly as someone I'd recommend since I have no experience with him.
