Guest guest
Matt, Glad your testicles are back to size. I see a new endo on Monday and I am going to inist on at least the hcG test. If he is unwilling to do this I am willing to try it on my own. There are several online pharmacy's that carry it for about $80.00 per 10,000 IUs. At this point I am confused. I started Androgel 5gm on June 25th. About 5 days later I was a walking erection, the slightest touch or thought and boing. This was a good thing and I did not have to take a cialis for 10 days. (not just for older guys). After about 10 days of feeling really well, high energy, etc. things started going back to the old Bob. So I scheduled a follow up and went for new test on July 14th. At this point the doc said to try 10gm per day. The 2 packs a day (one am, one pm) helpped some, but nothing like those great 10 days. The test from June 24th showed a total T of 212 {260-1000) and a free T of 32.5 (50-210). The test from July 14th showed total T of 213 (260-1000) and a free T of 42.9 (50-210) this was after 19 days on Androgel. If I hadn't had those 10 days I would think that the Androgel is bunk. My guess is that druing that time I was still making some T and that plus the androgel is what did the trick. So hopefully the hcG (with or without the doc) will help me out. Maybe I can be lucky on only need that. If so I would like to then try the clomid route. Have you tried that yet? It supposed to help with your E2 problem as well. Some people have stated that they can have levels close to 800 on half a tab every other day. That would be sweet. As even on the online pharmacies this stuff is cheap between 1 and 3 dollars per tab. Thanks, Bob > hey, you mentioned in another post you are on HCG as well as T, how > much are you taking of both and have you had any problems with E2 > with this mix. > I was on just T injections and about 3 months ago i added HCG as > well. Guest guest
Matt, Just as an FYI - the male infertility specialist I saw for a second opinion says he's been able to restart fertility in men after they were on T for a couple years. Guest guest
Hey Bob, yeah, insist if you can on the hcg test, and let your endo know you are going to do it with or without his consent. You can even point out in the " AACE guidelines text " the section on HCG and how it can be used for males who are concerned about testicle size. Section titled, Gonadotropin Therapy in Androgen Deficiency, page 451. " The advantages of hCG over testosterone in this setting include the stimulation of testicular growth, which may be an important issue for some men. Use of hCG may also yield greater stability of testosterone levels and fewer fluctuations in hypogonadal symptoms (66). In addition, hCG treatment is necessary for stimulating enough intratesticular testosterone to allow the initiation of spermatogenesis. " Intially you can feel great on test and then it does settle down as your body gets used to the new levels, however your levels are still very low, so perhaps it was the combination. But i think you need much higher levels of T to get the real benefits. Hopefully the hcg will stimulate your balls to produce more. If it doesnt, but still gives you reasonable teste size, you can do both test and hcg. I spoke to my doctor on the phone last night and got the basics back from my last results. they were taken 4 weeks after my last T injection, but still taking the hcg at 500 ius every second day. My total T was 31 nmol/l (892 ng/dl)range 8.5-29, I would think after 4 weeks the injectable T should have dropped to a very low level, so the hcg must be giving me that level of T, which if true is fantastic!! However my estrogen was still high at 242 pmol/l range; <150. So that is probably what is giving me the occasional erection problems and fogginess etc. No I havnt tried the clomid yet, I wasnt aware that is was good to take with the Hcg, I thought that perhaps arimidex was the one to use?? Clomid being more for stimulation of the hypo axis when Hcg was to be discontinued, if it was thought that total normal function may be possible.... which I am considering now that my testes may be functioning ok.. but will wait for a another few months and further tests. Hope you have success with your visit to the endo. cheers. > > hey, you mentioned in another post you are on HCG as well as T, > how > > much are you taking of both and have you had any problems with E2 > > with this mix. > > I was on just T injections and about 3 months ago i added HCG as > > well. Guest guest
I manage my health with T-Cyp injected Sub-Q into stomach fat once every week or so. HCG taken every 2-4 days between 400 - 900 units. Compounded T Gel 7.5%. and Arimidex taken every once in a while in small doses.
