You can overdose on zinc. It doesn't sound like that's your case.

You won't know what your estradiol is until you have it tested.

Without that information you can't know if it's too high or too low,

or whether adjusting supplements will help or hurt.

Can anyone here suggest a less expensive lab?

Dr Shippen recommends starting zinc at 100mg/day (50mg

twice/day) " until you see improvement " , then dropping back to

50mg/day. I dropped back to 50mg when I started having a

metallic taste in my mouth, a sign of zinc overdose. My

multivitamin includes another 15mg/day.

YES! too much zinc, or arimidex, or combination of anything to drive

your estrogen too low will, from my personal experience, result in no

or low libido, no or weak erections, orgasm difficulty, etc, etc.

I think 100mg of zinc is too much, the general recommendation is to

jump start your system with 100 for a short while, don't know what

that means, but when I did 100mg a day, with copper, for about a month

my problems described above started. I have now stopped all arimidex

and copper for the past week, and things are getting much better.

Remember, you need estrogen, as far as I am concerned, as long as

swelling breasts do not result you got about the right amount of E.

Also my endo and also my excellent compounding pharmacy say that you

can forget the zinc and broccoli and everything else if you just use a

moderate arimidex or like strong E blocker. One should take Dim a

couple a day because it promotes urinating out the excess E. I also

take 50mg of DHEA a day and Saw Palmetto with Pygeum.

No need to pay $200 for an estrogen test. go to www.preventivelabs.com and

order through them.
