Guest guest
This is very good and you got her interested now she will do some research and lets fact it this is not Rocket Science. I did this over 10 yrs. ago to my Dr. and the next month I seen him he knew all about this. Good for you I feel good about this. We know the Urologist that put hubby on Androgel with only a Total T and a slip for another Total T in 3 months despite hub asking for a full work up, was not going to be the answer for us. We were hoping the doc this morning would be more receptive and she was! She admitted it was not her field of expertise and is going to do some research and see what she can find about who to send hubby to that works with what we want. I gave her Dr 's protocols as well as the Academy of Endo's recommendations. She said " You know on TRT your chol. will go up " I showed her in Dr 's paper where he said it would not. She went 'hmmm'.. She also said we are going on the assumption presently that it is low T that is causing his symptoms, when it could be other things, thyroid etc. We agreed, by ALL means do the prework that should have been done. She looked at when his last ones were done and ordered some bloodwork be done. Hubby did not use his Androgel before the blood draw.I am not sure all of what was on the list she looked at was orderd, but we both left her office feeling positive about the appt and convinced that the Urologist who perscribed the Androgel is out. She will contact us in a few days with what she found out. ....Fingers crossed Kay ---------------------------------
Guest guest
Bruce has a good point. My doc (not a hormone specialist, but learning) is always asking my wife questions about what I seem like to her, how she thinks different treatments are working for me, etc. Mark > When you find the right doc, he/she will be glad you're part of > your husband's team. > > Bruce
