Guest guest
I have a problem with Dr. Gambrell comments. He is way off base telling someone that taking gel or wearing the patch won't hurt you and just might help. Oh yeah, they will help - shut down your natural T production. The only thing haywire in the below labs is E2. Free T is a little below midpoint and the rest are low normal. I suggest that a mild E2 blocker would give you a big leg up more than T replacment. As I posted earlier, Arimidex is tough to right dose so keep that in mind. Clomid might also be of value to you in stimulating LH primarily and T secondarily. > > From: swrtw2001 [mailto:no_reply ] > Sent: 22 July 2004 17:01 > > Subject: Ernestnolan - Response from Dr. Gambrell > > > > HI Ernestnolan, > > I wrote to Dr. Don Gambrell yesterday and here's his response, > unfortunately he doesn't have experience with young men suffering > from the side effects of propecia, but atleast he does acknowledge my > T levels are low, unlike many of the doctor's I've seen. > > ---------------------------------------------------------------- > > Dear Steve > > I have not had occasion to prescribe Propecia but am familiar with > its mechanism of action and have prescribed other testosterone enzyme > inhibitors. Guest guest
Hi Modestman, I don't agree with using T gel or patches as well, Im hoping to get my system working properly again. I seem to have too much E2 conversion after finasteride use. Im hoping by suppressing E2, I would be able to increase LH and have less converstion from T to E2, giving me more T. I pray this will work. > > >Dear Dr. Gambrell, > > > > > >I was referred to your website by one of your > > >patients. > > > > > >Im writing to you because, 5 years ago I took the hair > > >loss drug propecia for 6 months and am still > > >experiencing the side effects today. Guest guest
Hi, Hurt depends on what you are interested in doing. As I started TRT in my 60's sterility was not an issue to me. I wanted my T level to go up and if that is the goal the patches and gel will not harm you. I can't defend Dr. Gambrell, but his credentials are all over the internet if you want to look for him. He has been caring for andropause patients for decades. Tough to find his equivilant anywhere. Oooh yea, did I mention he is my endo. ernestnolan > > >Dear Dr. Gambrell, > > > > > >I was referred to your website by one of your > > >patients. > > > > > >Im writing to you because, 5 years ago I took the hair > > >loss drug propecia for 6 months and am still > > >experiencing the side effects today. Guest guest
Hi, If you can get you testicles to working again, great. When I started TRT in 1991 I was tested for the messenger hormone and found it was high. Net to me was, my remaining testicle was no longer able to produce enough to keep me in the high normal range. With hormone pellets I was able to get about to 900 which is at the top of the high normal range where the doctor says most of his patients can benefit. About 45% of his patients on patches and gels will not continue as they can not get to these high levels to benefit. About 65% of those on pellets will continue. ernestnolan > > > >Dear Dr. Gambrell, > > > > > > > >I was referred to your website by one of your > > > >patients. > > > > > > > >Im writing to you because, 5 years ago I took the hair > > > >loss drug propecia for 6 months and am still > > > >experiencing the side effects today.
