Guest guest
TRL, What kind of TRT are you on? Gel, shots, patch? I had the " shrinkage " you're talking about and it scared the hell out of me - my penis looked like a Charpei dog - loose skin - volume diminished - scary. Someone on this forum suggested putting Androgel directly on the penis. Normally, your penis and testicles are constantly bathed in testosterone, but all this stops if you have hypo. I figured it coundn't hurt, so I tried it. I quickly discovered that Androgel burns if you get it on the testicles, but I found I could put it on the top of the penis shaft only and it did not burn. My penis returned to near normal again. I've been doing it ever since. If you're on gels or cream, you might want to try this and see if it helps. Guest guest
This is _not_ a good idea. In skin in that area contains large amounts of 5alpha reductase, so a large (that is, an excessive) amount of the testosterone delivered from the Androgel will be converted to DHT. Your DHT will be in the supraphysiological range, which is not good. In fact, the person that started the thread said that they were taking Propecia, which works to _lower_ the DHT. DHT is best in the center of the normal range. Too little DHT often leads to ED, but many men take that chance with Propecia because they are loosing their hair. High DHT simply has no benefit. When on Androgen therapy, it is common for the HPTA to shut/slow down less LH to be produced. LH is what stimulates the testes. Without the stimulation, the testes will often atrophy. One solution to this problem is to suppliment the testosterone replacement with hCG. hCG is effectively LH, so it stimulates the testes to produce testosterone and prevents testicular atrophy. See SWALE's hCG protocol at http://www.sculptedbyiron.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9610 for more information. > > > > hello, > > > > recenly i have been considering getting a pump. i've done some > > research and have a good idea of where i will buy from and how i > will > > use it ie low pressure. the reaons i am planning to use it is b/c > of > > shrinkage, more accurately narrowing. i think that this shrinkage > is > > either due to lacking no morning/nocturnal erections or androgen > > depravation, possibly both. the question that i have is whether or > not > > it is safe to use a pump if the shrinkage is due ot androgen > depravation? > > > > > > my problems stem from propecia. im only 20 years old and obviously > > NEVER had any sort of problem before this, infact i would say the > > exact opposite. my intent of using the pump is to help > circulatoin. > > im not doing it for size, simply for oxygenatoin of my penis. if > any > > one has had success with this or has been seriously damaged it your > > input would certainly be appreciated. > > > > i have heard that no nocturnal erections can cause a increase of > > collagen, and after i ejactulate my penis always looks unhealth. > like > > the tissue under the skin is almost a different texture, which i > > would guess is some buildup of collagen. i have been trying to > design > > a regimen and so far what i have come up with is pumping, patterned > > cialis and possibly clomid/hcg to kick start my hpta. i believe > that > > my problems are now physical and hormonal. but if i could attack > this > > from a few different angles i might be alright. > > > > > > TRL
Guest guest
Thanks for the advice, but I would rather have my penis be normal than have a head full of hair - its gray anyway! ;-) the HCG thing is something I would like to try at some point. Wish they had it in a gel too... Guest guest
thanks for the advice! sorry for the delay, i completely forgot about the post i made that day. anyhow, i am not on ANY TRT, nor am i on propecia (wish i never had been!). k4, what you're descirbing about your own shrinkage does sound similar to me. that loose skin adn diminished volume really hits home. i have had tests done and from two different dht tests, the levels were WAY above normal (like 1.5X upper range!) Both my T tests showed mid levels (16 & 19/30 at 1pm and 11 am respectively) and right smack in the middle e2 levels. once again im 20 years old and before this i was a horndog amongst horndogs. i have only been dealing with all this crap after taking propecia in fall of '03 and getting off of it just before new years '04, my side effects appeared to happen overnight. i guess my question more specifically is: if my shrinkage is due to androgen depravation, would it be safe to use a pump in this circumstnce? for a while i actually thought that i had peyronnies disease, as it seemed that i had many of those symptoms asides from the actual plaque or the curve. i had a " rollover " effect when flexing my pelvic muscles when i urinated, not to mention the narrowing (which is mostly what im referring to with shrinkage). these symptoms are commonly associated with " blockage " , which in turn is what a plaque (peyronnies) would do. i've determined that i do not have peyronnies, but i do have symptoms of it which im starting to believe are stemming from virtually no NEs. also my dick tissue seems " tougher " or " tighter " than it used to. like it's not as " fleshy " as it used to be. Thanyou in advance for your replies, TRL > > > > > > > > hello, > > > > > > > > recenly i have been considering getting a pump. i've done some > > > > research and have a good idea of where i will buy from and how > i > > > will > > > > use it ie low pressure. the reaons i am planning to use it is > b/c > > > of > > > > shrinkage, more accurately narrowing. i think that this > shrinkage > > > is > > > > either due to lacking no morning/nocturnal erections or androgen > > > > depravation, possibly both. the question that i have is whether > or > > > not > > > > it is safe to use a pump if the shrinkage is due ot androgen > > > depravation? > > > > > > > > > > > > my problems stem from propecia. im only 20 years old and > obviously > > > > NEVER had any sort of problem before this, infact i would say > the > > > > exact opposite. my intent of using the pump is to help > > > circulatoin. > > > > im not doing it for size, simply for oxygenatoin of my penis. > if > > > any > > > > one has had success with this or has been seriously damaged it > your > > > > input would certainly be appreciated. > > > > > > > > i have heard that no nocturnal erections can cause a increase of > > > > collagen, and after i ejactulate my penis always looks > unhealth. > > > like > > > > the tissue under the skin is almost a different texture, which > i > > > > would guess is some buildup of collagen. i have been trying to > > > design > > > > a regimen and so far what i have come up with is pumping, > patterned > > > > cialis and possibly clomid/hcg to kick start my hpta. i > believe > > > that > > > > my problems are now physical and hormonal. but if i could > attack > > > this > > > > from a few different angles i might be alright. > > > > > > > > > > > > TRL

I believe its all perception. Actually I think that with the better erections of TRT you're actually getting slightly bigger and there's skin stretching, that when you go flaccid later seems like shrinkage. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. I WAS IN THE POOL!!!!!! - - - - Just another albino black sheep
