Guest guest Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Hi Duncan, Sorry about the long delay to answer your reply. Being a small biz owner at tax time sucks! Anyway thanks for that information about the probiotics. I am already doing that though, and have been taking that particular brand all along, so this pathogen has been causing this damage even though I have been taking quite a bit of the " primal defense " all this time. I guess what I am wondering is if there is a way to neutralize that poison *before* it kills my stomach lining cells. Or if you have ever heard of this problem before? Remember whatever this is killed my tastebuds first, (believe me, it sucks to have no sense of taste and it took the better part of 2 and a half months to regrow them!!) so I am spectulating that this could well be the problem with my stomach too. And now that I have stopped zapping all over and stopped the magnetic pulsing of my stomach area, my stomach *is* getting back to normal. Granted I could stop zapping for the rest of my life, but I hate the idea of that. It has been so helpful! Anyway, if you have any idea of some way to stop it from killing the stomach lining cells, I would be grateful. Annette Quote

Annette, It wouldn't have been me that recommended probiotics. The reason I don't agree with probiotics is because they are inactive when you eat them, and they will remain inactive unless you feed them adequate prebiotics. This lack of food is why probiotics only work as long as you keep eating them; they fail to establish a robust and actively competing culture. Also, if you feed your own starter culture with prebiotics you will not need probiotics anyway. Even antibiotic-associated diarrhea and inflammatory bowel disease have been reversed with prebiotics. If you feel you must eat probiotics, I've done the math and I've found that as many as 200 capsules daily is in the ballpark of being an adquate dose. See, each capsule is only enough to culture a few grams of stool. You have a couple of liters of stool in the bowel alone. The math is posted on my web site. > I guess what I am wondering is if there is a > way to neutralize that poison *before* it kills my stomach lining > cells. Or if you have ever heard of this problem before? By using prebiotics, the probiotic bacteria will control the toxin-producing bacteria. > Remember > whatever this is killed my tastebuds first, (believe me, it sucks to > have no sense of taste and it took the better part of 2 and a half > months to regrow them!!) so I am spectulating that this could well be > the problem with my stomach too.
