Dear Family, Friends, fellow BB'ers, and Group Members,

In an effort to make this last-minute appeal to as many people as

possible, I'm sending the same message to all of you rather than

personalizing it for each of you. Time is very short.

The vote on the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) is

coming up in the House of Representatives this week (possibly

Wednesday evening). In order to stave off limitations on our access

to nutritional supplements in dosages of our choosing at reasonable

prices, it is imperative to contact your Congressman/woman today to

ask for a NO vote on CAFTA.

For overall background on what the future holds for health freedom and

access to nutritional supplements, I urge you to watch a 28-minute

documentary entitled " We Become Silent, " available for viewing on the

web at www.welltv.com. This documentary was directed by

and narrated by Dame Judi Dench. You can encourage your

Representative to view this documentary at a Staff Briefing to be held

on Wednesday, July 27th, from noon to 12:30 p.m. in Room 1537

Longworth House Office Building. Lunch will be included. Seats are

limited, so your Congressman's/woman's aide should contact Kent Snyder

at the Liberty Committee at kentsnyder@... or at (703) 276-2094

should your Representative be interested in attending.

In addition, I urge you to read Representative Ron 's weekly

column dated July 18, 2005, entitled " CAFTA and Dietary Supplements. "

You can find it at

http://www.house.gov/paul/tst/tst2005/tst071805.htm. The column is

brief, but it gives an overview of how CAFTA, Codex, and membership in

the World Trade Organization (WTO) spell trouble for health freedom.

Don't be fooled, friends. There is a huge public relations campaign

being carried out on many fronts trying to lull consumers of

nutritional supplements into complacency. I came across an example of

this on Friday night at a health food store at which I have been

shopping for 24 years. Posted on each register was a message from a

nutritional foods trade association that was replete with

disinformation. The entities that have a vested interest in

harmonizing supplement standards worldwide are waging such an

effective campaign that even many in the business of selling

nutritional supplements are being hoodwinked.

I understand that there are three toll-free numbers currently

available to use to reach your Representative. These are: (866)

340-9279, (877) 762-8762, and (866) 340-9281. If you wish to pay for

the call yourself, you can call (202) 225-3121 to get the Capitol

Switchboard or go to your Congressman's/woman's website and get

his/her direct office telephone number. To send an e-mail, go to

www.house.gov/writerep. If you send an e-mail, use a subject line

above the body of the text, such as " Vote NO on CAFTA " so that your

position is immediately clear in case a busy aide doesn't have time to

read the e-mail in its entirety. Regardless of whether you are

verbose or simply state your request for a NO vote on CAFTA, whether

by telephone or e-mail or both, let your Representative hear your

viewpoint before it is too late.

Should you be interested in more information, here are a few websites

to explore: http://coalitionforhealthfreedom.org,

www.thelibertycommittee.org, www.iahf.com, and

www.alliance-natural-health.org.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

In support of health freedom,

Violet

Hi Violet,

Those are some great links at the end of this article. I went to all of them

and responded to the ones who offered an email to my Representative.

Thanks,

Sharon
