See Dr. Jordin Rubin The benefits bestowed by yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, non-GMO miso, non-GMO tempeh, kimchee, indeed any fermented vegetable... The probiotics and enzymes provided by these foods far outweigh any possible negative effects for most people... Also, we're talking about REAL yogurt and kefir (lacto) as one would make themselves or find at a health food store and NOT the commercial garbage one would find at a regular grocery...those add sugar to sweeten which of course feeds the candida... The sugars are consumed during fermentation. Alcohol, even though fermented should be avoided because the body turns the alcohol into sugar. Avoid yeast and mold containing foods, and aged foods as these can stimulate the yeast growth. These include alcohol, vinegar and all foods that contain vinegar like mustard, salad dressings and mayonnaise; yeast-containing foods like leavened bread; mold-containing foods like peanuts and corn; and aged foods like cheeses. Basically we're talking foods fermented by yeast/fungi VS. foods fermented by bacteria, such as the soy, milk and veggies... Khepri
Guest guest
BORIC ACID...it's a god send. I've had a constant yeast infection after taking cipro last year for a uti. I tried EVERYTHING, and nothing worked for me but boric acid. I waited and waited to try it because I was afraid. But I ordered it off of taoherbs.com and just one night insertion and I was as good as knew. it does feel a bit weird the next day though so maybe try it over the weekend. it's worth a try if you haven't! good luck! shefy lornabeaverman <rcmlam@...> wrote: I agree completely with Iva. Nystatin and Diflucan dont do anything permanent for us here--they just offer temporary assistance if you have a systemic yeast issue. I used to have a great yeast fighting diet bookmarked but I got a new computer and would have to dig it up for you. STill, here are some guidelines: The Anti-Candida Diet. AVOID: Yeast, Bread and Pastries All fermented products Alcohol and all fermented drinks Sugar and all sweet things White Flour In All Forms Malted Products Citrus Fruit Juices Many Vitamin Products Milk and milk products Processed and Smoked Meats and Fish Dried and Candied Fruits Melons, Ripe Bananas and Grapes Mushrooms and all fungi Cheeses + things made with a fermentation process Certain Nuts Foods Going Stale Processed Foods Drugs which promote the growth of yeasts - steroids, antibiotics, the contraceptive pill Coffee and tea Mould, Mildew and Damp conditions OTHER WAYS to Combat Candida: Grapefruit seed extract such as Citricidal or nutribiotic (I put the liquid form of Nutribiotic in empty capsules from Self Health). Camomile has antifungal properties. Rooibosch (Redbush) tea. Aloe Vera has antifungal action and promotes healthy intestinal flora. Pau D'Arco has strong anti-candida effects and is anti-inflammatory. Tea Tree Oil has strong anti-fungal properties. Oxygen Therapies can also help control candida. Caprystatin. This is very dilute caprylic acid (coconut extract). Caprylic acid. Used successfully to treat severe intestinal candida in a form which allows a timed release so it is not absorbed in the upper intestinal tract. This may not suit you if you are sensitive to coconut. Colonic Irrigation. This is the administration of water into the bowel, sometimes with other substances such as acidophilus, garlic extract, or oxygen. Debris is flushed from the region and the additives can greatly reduce candida and improve bowel health. Enemas. These are less effective as they don't penetrate as far as colonics. Both need to be given by experts. Also, I really like Candex which is an enzyme that targets yeast. The probiotic formula 3Lac has also helped us as has Olive Leaf extract. Systemic yeast is so hard to overcome but it can be done. Good luck! Lorna > > In order to clear out Candida you have to be on strict Candida diet. > Nystatin and Diflucan will not help you. But I must add a caution to Khepri's suggestion to read Jordan . is a purveyor of Primal Defense, which contains soil bacteria that is not only not native to the human frame, but one of them has been linked in several studies to cancer. Many health professionals will not use it for fear of causing cancer in clients, and some explain that it doesn't muscle test well in people. Guest guest
Boric acid is the main ingredient in eye wash. It's barely acidic at all, about the same ph as our tears. It is nothing to be afraid of using, especially if it helps. Ken -- Re: Re: Does a zapper cleanse Candida overgrowth? BORIC ACID...it's a god send.
